Hermione Granger was the adorable little girl that everyone on her street knew. She was loved by everyone, and her parents were well known dentists. Her parents were very loving and protective of their child. Anyone could tell you that.
Hermione loved her parents, and her parents loved her. They loved how Hermione was reading every book that she could get her hands on. She frequently went to the library and she was known by name there and she also knew the staff by name as well.
Hermione's favorite time was family time. After dinner her family would sit down in the living room and they would tell her stories of a far away place that was a school. Boys and girls would go to school there to learn all about Magic. The students would use wands and be able to produce magic. The teachers that taught there were special people and there was a special room at the top of the stairs that if you walked in front of three times a room that you think of will appear.
She liked to hear about the different houses. She really liked the Gryffindor house, but she wanted to be in the Ravenclaw house. That is where all of the smart people went. She was always confused about the Hufflepuff house. She often thought that there was not a reason to have that house until her mother explained that that house is more like a family than the other houses. They stick together through thick and thin and they are fierce fighters. But they are also good finders. Especially when you were stuck looking for your keys.
The house she was afraid for was the Slytherin house. She wanted to stay far away from that house. That is where the evil people went. She was very very afraid of that house.
She tried to tell the people at school these stories and was classified as the school crazy person. She was always alone in school but she was fine with that. She liked to take the time when she was alone to study more and be ahead of her class. The only problem was when she would have an accident.
She had frequent accidents. There was a girl in Hermione's class that was picking on her because of her unusual name. She turned the girls hair bright pink. There was a boy who tried to play a trick on her for Valentines Day. She ended up turning his skin bright pink and bright red kiss lips appeared all over him.
As far as anyone else knew about the Grangers, it was just Micheal, Jean and Hermione, but only those who stayed up at night in their neighborhood would notice the man with the floor length beard and looked like he was wearing a dress.
Hermione called this man her grandfather. She always wanted one, all of the other kids in school had grandparents and she always wondered why she did not have one. His name was Albus Dumbledore. She always thought that her grandfather had a funny name but she did not mind. That was one thing that they had in common. He always talked to her parents about coming back. Coming back where she was not sure but she did not want to leave.
Dumbledore saw many amazing qualities in the young girl he called his granddaughter. She liked to study, that much was obvious. He often thought that Ravenclaw was the house for her but then again the Slytherin qualities were uncanny. She tried to suppress them but they always showed, the incidences at school became more frequent. At the age to change color wordlessly and wandless was an amazing quality. Not most people can do it at the young age that she is. She has been showing many amazing qualities of an amazing witch. He often tries to get the Grangers to come back into the Wizarding World. They just do not trust it yet, they have a feeling that he will be back. And unfortunately he does, too.
Hermione is a strong girl but will she be able to be strong enough to handle all of the darkness that is going to come in the next few years? Especially with the young Malfoy that will be in the same year as her, and the famous Harry Potter?
