"I'm starting to think Christian has a little crush on you," Gavin muttered. I choked on my diet coke and tried to contain my laughter. Gavin raised his eyebrow at me. "What's so funny?" I shook my head and laughed loudly, "Christian does not have a crush on me," I scoffed and shook my head. "Whatever you say," Gavin said as he shrugged his shoulders and stood up. He grabbed my hand, dumping some money on the table and dragging me outside. "That was a really cute café." I stated simply. "Where did you find it?" Gavin shrugged again and said, "that's a story for another time."
We made our way back to his car and he opened the door for me. I laughed lightly as I slid in and buckled my seatbelt. He got in the drivers seat, not even bother to buckle his seatbelt and I frowned at him. "Put your seatbelt on," I said sternly. He glanced at me and grinned. Gavin completely ignored me and started the car, pulling out of the café's parking lot.
"Where to now?" I asked, bringing my knees up to my chest and hugging them tightly. He glanced at me and smirked, tapping the end of his nose. I frowned and rolled my eyes. "I'm just curious!"
I stuck my hand out the window, singing along loudly with the radio. Gavin laughed, "shut up, Lacey. You can't sing!" I gasped, slapping his arm. Gavin yelped loudly and I couldn't help but laugh.
"The beach? Gavin, it's freezing." He grinned, shrugging his shoulders. "Yolo, right?" He ran down into the water, and I walked down after him.
He put out his hand for me to take and said, "its not even cold, Lace. Come on!"
I hesitated, but I grabbed his hand and he pulled me into the water. I let out a yelp, because the water was absolutely freezing. Gavin laughed at me and I narrowed my eyes, splashing him with the water.
"Oh, shit! That's cold!" I smirked and fell back into the water, floating on my back. "We're probably going to end up sick after this," I said. He chuckled. "No big deal though, right?"
"No big deal at all," I said.
The water was getting extremely cold now, and I felt myself start to shiver. Gavin laughed, "maybe we should go before you catch pneumonia."
I nodded in agreement, standing up in the water and sprinting out. Gavin followed me, our clothes were dripping wet.
Gavin stood in front of me, his back facing me. I jumped onto his back, my hands wrapping around his neck and his hands on my thighs to keep me up.
Surprisingly, he carried me all the way to the car and then sat me in the passenger seat. I smiled at him gratefully and he got in the driver's seat.
"Today was fun," I said. "Even though I think we'll be sick tomorrow, it was still fun." Gavin smirked.
"Fun is what I do, babe."
