Wake up

I dreamt that I dreamt of him.

In the first dream, inside the dream I mean, he'd arrived at my birthday party uninvited and came towards me. Without saying a word he came close to me, kissed my temple and stood there right next to me.

I was extremely nervous because I hadn't seen him for so long and now he was here, without notice, behaving like a respectful but friendly ex boyfriend. I had no clue about what he wanted, why was he there.

Then I woke up, in the dream, and I was suddenly laying in my bed, hugging him.

I felt such a relieve. Like I could finally let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. My head was buried in the crook of his neck so I couldn't see his face but somehow I knew it was him. It must have been by his scent. That minty smell he always had.

I remember I hugged him so tightly, I've been needing that hug for so long...

And then, he started to fade away. That's when my dreamy mind realised I was actually dreaming... people don't  jus fade away in real life

Just like that, before he was completely gone, I woke up. For real this time.

There I was, alone in bed, wishing that somehow that hug had been real. But knowing that it wasn't going to happen ever again, at least not in a very long time. But maybe in a parallel universe, haha.

Anyways, even if it was just in a dream, it was nice to see him one more time.

That's what I love about dreams after all.

You can see anyone you love, even if they're not around in your real life anymore.

I was in this big West coast Californian house, it was orange. All the stairs and ladders that surrounded the place were wooden and broken.
