The coldness of the concrete contributed to my fear and discomfort, with merely a scanty puddle below me. I sat there in terror, I could hear Claiborne whistling an identical melody to mother's favorite song; What a wonderful world by Louis Armstrong. I glanced up at him and noticed his striking vest with a violet hue and orange stripes on it diagonally.

As I waited for an eternity shivering in fear, I heard splattering sounds come again from the hose as his whistling began to fade out. A disgusting shade of gray drooled out from the opening. It sputtered again then began pouring out large amounts of that thing. It came out faster and faster. All of a sudden there were hoses everywhere all of them filling the tank. Their only aim, to drown me. It was at my neck, in a few minutes, I was under. I trapped air before but it wasn't enough. My lungs were burning, I was desperately hanging on to life.

I could see figures from the creases of my eyes. Too lazy to try, I gave up trying to escape. I accepted it. I was going to die and I had so much secrets trapped inside of me. So much things unsaid and undone. I had no last words or thoughts just an open mind to be filled with water and gray goo.

"Alexis!, Alexis are you okay?"

My eyes opened slowly. I rolled over and realized I was wrapped with comfy sheets and blankets. I was alive. It was only a nightmare.

"I'm okay," I told Sid "what happened?"

He lowered his eyes as he spoke, " You were shaking wildly and calling for me, you sounded so needy and scared, but you wouldn't wake up no matter how much I tried."

"I had a nightmare, hope I didn't cause any trouble"

"Not at all, you are a little late for breakfast but that's fine, I'll go get it for you" Sid said rather cheerfully

"Okay, wait!"

"What's wrong?"

I couldn't get the words out. I don't know why my brain did want me to say it. I was mesmerized and I wanted to admit it, but I soon changed my mind and buried my feelings deep inside of me.

"Ummm, I'd like to go somewhere today, you know, just to get some fresh air"

"Sure, tell me when you're ready and we'll walk down to the park"

I watched him walk away so I could scold myself for being so dumb. I sat up on the bed and watched the busy streets through the window, seeing the filthy roads and dusty cars reminded me of how I was myself, desperately in need of a bath. I reached into a drawer to my left which had some of his clothes in it.

'Surely he wouldn't mind if I borrowed some'

With a over sized blue hoddie jacket and boxer shorts I went to the bathroom, first, to wash my face. I went to the faucet and turned it on. What spewed from it disgusted me and frightened me at the same time. This gray goo drained from the faucet and covered my hands, seemingly the same one as in the nightmare.

"Sid, Sid get up here quick!"

It wouldn't stop. I tried endlessly to turn it off,  it would just flow more than before. My instincts forced me to start kicking the pipes so it would stop. That very time Sid saw me.

"Alexis, what on earth are you doing?" He questioned strongly. He looked at me as if I was a fool, as if he didn't see the mess of the place.

"What is all this on me!" I shouted

"It's water, dang it!"

"Look at this gray stuff on me Physidous!" I shouted

"Are you ok?, that seems like water to me"

"Wha- what no, you ca- can't see it"

"Look we'll go get you some clothes to change in and we can  get some food on the way, meet me downstairs in five"

I didn't believe it. It was all over me. What did he mean he didn't see? What's happening to me? The nightmare felt so real it is almost hard to say it wasn't, or was it? I wasted no time meeting Sid downstairs. When I got down there he was already in a car waiting for me.

"You coming?" He asked jokingly

I got into the front seat next to him.

"Where are we going?" I asked

"We, are going to Shasel's Girls Garments, to get you some clothes"

He started the car and I remained silent for the rest of the drive. Leaning against the window I could see many things rush by. They all looked so familiar yet I've never been here before. I saw hoses and pipes identical to the ones from the nightmare, but I didn't pay attention since I've be trying to convince myself it all isn't real. Until I saw Claiborne, in the same purple vest with orange stripes....
