Chapter 3

Terrance Hemingway.

My mate, of all the fish in the sea it had to be him. The well-known notorious playboy, the most popular guy in my school, the guy that girls would kill for. He's my mate.

For the first time in forever, I checked him out. He was wearing black jeans with some dress shoes, a buttoned white shirt. His dark brown hair was styled in a classy way.

He was all dressed up like a bachelor. I must admit that he's very handsome, and muscular just the way I like it.

Eliza! Don't think that way!

"Eliza finally we can be together." He said beaming at me. He reached out a trembling hand and touched my face and instantly sparks erupted in my cheek. I walked back from his touch and his expression grew dark and he looked annoyed.

"You knew this whole time," I asked him bewildered, as it dawned to me that he knew all this time.

No wonder he chased me like a madman!

"Yes." He said in awe and his lips curled into a smile.

I did not return his smile. I am still in shock that this playboy is my mate, the one I'm supposed to be with and live happily ever after!

"For how long?" I asked. I wanted to get straight to the point and get this nightmare over with.

"How long what?" He teased with a smile.

"How long have you known that I am your mate?" I roll my eyes in annoyance.

"Since I turned 16." He replied simply and he smiled wider which creeped me the heck out.

"16? I thought once we turned 18 we wolves would know who are our mates." I pestered him, I did not want to have this conversation with him and I wanted to get the hell out of here.

"Remember that with touch, we can know beforehand, and that is how I found out you were destined to be mine." He said in awe and he gave me another smile, so lovingly that I wanted to hurl in his dressy shiny shoes.

Did he touch me?

"Wait, when!?" I shrieked, I ransacked my brain to see if there was a moment that he touched me.

"It was when-."

"Wait, no-nevermind!" I screeched at him and I held my hands up to stop him from talking.

"You don't want to know?" He asked, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"No, I don't and what are we going to do about this?" I questioned him, finally getting to the point.

"What do you mean?" He said and he moved towards a beat-up wood brick and inclined me to sit down.

Though I just stood there crossing my arms across my chest in annoyance. Just like that, it started to drizzle and in response, I looked up and started to see the grey clouds suddenly appear in what once the blue sky.

"Beautiful, absolutely beautiful," Terrance whispered. His voice pulled me back into reality and I grimaced at his words.

"I have to go," I told him as I started to back away and he walked towards me in response.

"What are you doing?" I tell him slowly as I turn around to face him.

"Well, aren't we going to talk to your parents at your home and tell them that I am your mate?" He questioned.

I looked at him in disbelief.

"I'm sure they are going to give us their blessing and maybe even in today you can move in with me to my home. My home is much bigger than yours and..." he ranted on how I'm going to live with better qualities and what it's his is now mine.
