When I entered his house, it was like a traditional Japanese styled home. "Follow me." I did as he said. He lead me into what looked like a tearoom. I sat down on a pillow that was set on the floor. He sat across from me. I slid a contract and a pen over to him. He opened the contract, and read it carefully. "Is that all there is to it?" "Yes. As long as you agree to that one rule, I'll do as you say." He grinned, and signed the paper quietly. "Congrats. You're officially my trusty pet." I looked away from him in disgust. "You may hate me now. But I'm the one who's saving your butt from a love gone wrong." He's right. I do hate him at the moment. But I need to stick with him, for my sake and Bolts. However, I continued to look away from him. "Hey." I looked up at him. He pulled me up, and started dragging me out the room. "What are you doing?" "We're going out." My eyes had widened a bit. "Out where?" "Just shut up." When we set foot outside, he instantly let go of me. "Buy me some ramen." I narrowed my eyes at him. "There's no way I'm buying ramen for a loser like you." "Well then, I guess I'll just spill the beans." I glared at him. I searched my pockets for any change that I had. "I only have ¥500." I showed him the money. "Good. Ramen here only cost ¥400." He took the money that he needed, and started walking off. While I was watching him walk off into the distance, I saw Bolt with Sarada. They were both laughing and smiling together. It kills me, seeing them like this. "Hey!" I jumped a little. "Why are you just standing there? C'mon." I took one last look at Bolt and Sarada. I then started following Shikadai. I was staring at my feet while I was walking. "Are you afraid to speak now?" I looked up. "No." He gave me a little snarl. I continued to look up at him from behind. "Why are you doing this?" He looked up at the sun, not giving me an answer. I went up next him, and he looked down at me. "What do you want?" "Nothing." I backed away, and let him continue down the path. After he got his ramen, I didn't know where we were going anymore. "Where are we going?" He didn't reply to me. I jumped in front him. "Are you even listening to me?" "I am." He walked around me. "Then why aren't you saying anything?" "Because I don't want to. Is there a problem?" He then sneezed out of nowhere. "Dammit" I really don't care if he's sick or not. It's not my problem. "I'm going home." He grabbed my arm. "I don't think so." He pulled me close to him. "We have some business to take care of." He was smirking. "What?" "Look in front of you." I did as he said, and I saw Bolt and Sarada heading our way. "Can't we just turn around?" He kept walking forward, with me still close to him. "Himawari, Shikadai, Fancy meeting you here." I didn't say anything. Shikadai spoke up. "Yeah. We were just taking a walk." "You two seem to have been enjoying yourselves. Bolt and I have been walking around the village for a few hours now." I saw her grip tighten around Bolts arm. "It was nice seeing the two of you. Maybe we should all get together sometime." I nodded my head in return. We waved our goodbyes to them. Right after they were gone, I pushed Shikadai off of me. "What was that for?" "I just wanted you off of me." I continued walking. But it was at a fast pace. "What are you so pissed off about?" He's only making it worse. "I'm not." "Is it because of Sarada?" I turned around and glared at him. "Don't try acting like you care about me or my feelings all of a sudden." He made no expression. "What did she ever do to you?" I turned around, and started walking fast. "Is it because you don't like her personality?" I don't want to hear this. "Or is it because of her relationship with Bolt?" I turned back around teary eyed. "Just shut up!" His eyes widened a little. "I hate having to live like this! Put yourself in my shoes and you'll see just how much my heart aches every day!" My heart was beating fast. He started to laugh out off nowhere. "You think this is funny?!" "Of course I do. You're being such a fool." I ran up to him and managed to get a punch to his face. "How about now?!" He started rubbing his face. "Nice punch." He looked at me and smirked. "That just made my day." I glared at him. "I should've beaten you down to the ground." "I don't mind. That's just more pleasure for me." "You're crazy!" "Am I?" I crossed my arms and started tapping my foot on the ground. "What the hell are you doing that for? It makes you look like you have issues." I immediately stopped what I was doing. "Look. You can criticize me all you want. I could care less. All I care about is you not telling anyone about Bolt and I." He snickered. "I don't see what you're so worked up about. That kiss was just a one time thing, right?" I started to purse my lips. "Right?" He said once more. "Oh my gosh." He started to laugh again. "Shut up, will you? It was only a few times." "Only a few times? That sounds like a lot to me." I growled softly as he continued to laugh. "Hey, Himawari." "What?" There was a pause for a moment. "Did you sleep with him too?" He started to laugh again. I made an irritating face. "For your information, I never slept with him, and I never will." He glanced at me. "If you say so sweetheart." This guy is so irritating. I feel like I could punch him forever.
"When did you start liking Bolt anyways?" I looked up at the sky, and let the nature sink inside of me. "Ever since I was a little girl. I don't remember some pieces of my childhood, but I do remember how kind and caring Bolt was to me." I turned my face over to Shikadai. "My brother was my first love." I said smiling. I heard him growl a bit, but I didn't know why. We continued along the path until we reached his house. "Well, bye." I started walking away from him. Until he suddenly called out my name. "Himawari." I turned back around. Silence crept through the air. He gave me a glare and went inside of his home.
Shikadai's POV
I can't stand looking at her face. That pale skin, and those Blue eyes, they make me feel a pain in my chest. "Shikadai, welcome home." "Yo." My mother gave me a sorrowful look. "Why are you so down?" "What do you mean? I've always looked like this." I walked past her and went into my room. I heaved a sigh and jumped onto the bed.
I heard something rattling in my pocket. I looked inside and found ¥100 yen that I got from Himawari. I instantly threw the change up against wall. It made me think of her.
Flashback 8 years ago
"Shika-kun!" I turned around to see Himawari coming to me with her hands behind her back. "When are we having our next play date?" I started rubbing the back of my head. "Another one?" She nodded her head. I stared at her for a bit, then smiled. "Fine." She smiled at me and started blushing. "Um , Shika-kun." "Hm?" She moved her away from her back, and pulled out a little green box with a white ribbon at the top. "I got your birthday present." I took the box from her. I unwrapped the box and looked inside. It was a bracelet that had the word 'Best' printed on it. Himawari pulled out her wrist and showed me her bracelet. "Pretty neat right? It was only ¥200."
Her bracelet had the word 'Friends' printed on it. I gave her a smile. "Yeah. Thanks." She made a cheerful face. "I'm glad you like it." She started to blush again, and unexpectedly kissed my cheek. After that, she ran off. I brought my hand up to my cheek, rubbed it, and kissed my hand.
Flashback Over
Those memories with her make me sick. I went to go pick up the change that I threw against the wall. I then put it back in my pocket. "Somehow I still manage to stay in love with you."
