YUNHO'S POVMingi parked the car in the parking deck before pulling open the trunk to the millions of groceries we bought. To be honest, we have a lot in common food-wise but I'm still not used to having a roommate I guess it just isn't the same as family.
I held as many groceries as I could in both of my hands. It would be better to get this done in one go so I can wash up before class. Mingi did the same as me taking a hold of the bags one by one till his arm gave out.
He winced in pain and by the looks of it, I could tell his whole arm ached. He rolled his shoulder subconsciously trying to shake the agonizing pain away. I thought it would get better overnight but I guess Changho and his friends really messed it up.
"Are you okay?" I asked, I mean obviously, he wasn't okay but it wouldn't hurt to ask.
"Oh, I'm fine. It's just a little stiff. You can go ahead and get ready for class. I'll bring this up." He pleaded to let go of his arm which he had been clutching for the last minute but the pain gave no remorse.
"No, you can't take this up by yourself. Your arm can barely handle taking one." I argued pointing to the bruise that was quite clear on the bare skin of his arm.
"I have more than one arm." He argued back but knowing Mingi for the little time I have he doesn't care if anything hurts him as long as nobody else gets hurt.
"You should go to the doctor before you make it worse." He was already shaking his head before I was halfway through my sentence.
"Why not?""Because it's not serious. There is no need to involve doctors for such little things." He resisted taking a deep breath before continuing. "Plus, I don't like hospitals."
He started picking up groceries again this time putting more on the other hand. He slammed the trunk of the car and locked it. Shoving me out the way, he continued on to the elevators.
Once we reached the elevator, we both sat some of the groceries down to rest our hands. The elevator opened on the third floor and before us were some of my classmates I didn't know their names but they seemed nice.
"Omo," one of the girls randomly said. "Do you guys need help?" They all entered reaching for bags but Mingi gently shielded them away.
"No," Mingi said, I barely had time to process what she was saying. It was pretty clear we needed help but Mingi is stubborn.
"What he means is we can't make girls carry our groceries," I added when the girl frowned dramatically with a sigh.
"Your Yunho, right?" She asked a slow smile forming on her face. I nodded my head and a giggle fell from her lips. "I'm Kim Miso, Moonbyul told me a lot about you. We should hang out sometime! Are you going to the party tonight? We could go together."
"I'm still unsure if I'm going tonight." I looked over to Mingi, who was boring a hole in the wall with his glare.
"Oh really...well give me your number and if you decide to go send me a text." She handed me her phone and I saved my number into it.
The elevator door opened and Kim Miso exited with the two friends she entered with. I sighed heavily when the door closed, letting my backrest against the wall.
"Wow, I'm surprised you got a girls number in less than two-three days." He snickered while picking up the groceries and exiting the elevator on our floor. I rolled my eyes before following after him.
I sat the groceries on the kitchen table, And moved my shirt sleeve off my watch to check the time. I had ten minutes before class.
"Hey, Mingi would you mind unpacking the groceries alone."
He shook his head and waved me away. "I don't mind just go to class." With that, I left for our room and tossed the stuff I needed into my bag. Grabbing it by the handle, I left passing the kitchen where Mingi was slowing putting things in the cabinet.
I suddenly stopped because I forgot to say something and headed back towards the kitchen. "Don't forget to put an ice pack on your arm before you do anything else today."
"Yeah, yeah whatever." He proceeded to unbag the groceries.
"Ok, I'm leaving."
____
I got to class two minutes early and decided to get everything ready for class. My phone buzzed while I was emptying my backpack of my necessities.
Moonbyul:
Can you meet me after your class? We need to talk.Me:
Why?Moonbyul:
Does it matter why? It will only take a second.Me:
This may come off rude but I don't really wanna talk to you, right now.Moonbyul:
Excuse me?Me:
If we talk right now your not gonna talk to me your gonna yell at me and I'm not gonna have a say.Moonbyul:
Please, I can assure you I'm not angry or mad anymore but I do wanna talk this out.Me:
Fine, where are we meeting?Moonbyul:
The library."YUNHO?" I looked up to see the same girl from the elevator. Kim Miso. "Are you in this class?"
"Yeah."
"Can I sit next to you, we can be lab partners!" She smiled so brightly I couldn't help but smile along and nod.
Miso happily walked around my chair to the one beside me and took her seat. "You know now that I think of it, I don't have a lot of guy friends. I hope we can become friends because your really easy to talk too!" She opened her notebook and looked through her pencil pouch.
"Do you need a pen?" I asked, watching her struggle to find something to write with. She nodded and I handed her mine while grabbing another one.
"Thank you."
The teacher spoke for a good while and I did my best not to fall asleep. I was bored because this lesson was basically one of the easiest lessons to go over but I guess some people in the class were struggling.
After the lesson, the teacher explained the lab in-depth before allowing us to talk with our partners about the times we could work on it because there would be no extra time in class.
"So, when do you wanna meet?" Kim Miso turned to me, letting her light brown hair bounce in the sunlight.
"Ah, about that."
"Are you really busy this week? We can start next week, there's a lot of time on this project."
"Uh, no it's just I don't know a lot of places around here to do this because I live kinda far from Seoul. It would be best to do it in school."
"Oh, but the librarian is super mean if you talk she shushes you. Even if you have a low voice." She sighed looking away from me and back to her notebook.
"We could do it in my dorm." Her eyes opened wide in shock. "Oh, sorry. I didn't mean-"
"No, we could meet in your dorm. Just text me your Dorm number and floor." She smiled grabbing her things as the teacher dismissed us.
I stood from my seat but Miso's hand slid into mine to stop me. When I turned around to her she quickly pulled her hand away. "Ah, sorry. I was just wondering...never mind." She smiled again before getting up and leaving the room.
