Pandarian Mists

Ji Firepaw

    I was on the cart home and it had a big fuzzy yak pulling it forward and a hay lining for seats. Shu was sitting next to me mesmerized by the new sights. I looked up at masters temple. It had been my home ever since master found me. But now that I had become accustomed to nature and inns it all felt so weird. I missed the stars and the grass and water and birds. I also missed Aysa, I had assured her that we would meet again, but what if we didn't. Battle held many unknown possibilities. I walked up the steps of the temple with Shu close behind. Master greeted me warmly and then leaded Shu over to a fountain under a large blossom tree. He played in the water and master turned to me.

"It is good to see you, my student, but now is not the time for catching up. You must meet your next partner, Ji Firepaw. He is in the Houhan village looking fot the fire spirit Huo."

"So soon master?"

"Yes Anichi, Shen Zin Shu is dying and must be healed as soon as possible. There is no time to waste."

"Okay master, I will go at once." I bowed than took off.

"With haste, be safe young one."

"Thank you,  I will!" I wanted to meet Ji, Shen Zin Shu needs me, and I wanted to get back to nature, I had no need for extra encouragment to go. The town was only a hop skip and a jump away so I was there quickly. I soon realized however, that there were monkeys everywhere. I grabbed my hood and pulled it up activating my stealth. A special skill that rogues get after enough training. It made it so that no one or thing could see me. Then I proceeded to sneek through the mokeys into the town, which was also covered in monkeys. The monkeys had large fangs and were matty with blood and paint.

"Take that monkey butt!" Yelled a male pandarian,  he had a tuft of hair a top his head and traditional pandarian beard, long yet skinny held by band all the way across making it look like little puff after puff.  He is a black and white pandarian, as most males are, with green eyes like mine, he wore a very large smile, but not like the one of Jojo. His smile wasn't filled with arrogance,  his was friendly and happy. I remembered that my stealth was still on, yet he was staring right at me. His expression changed and I turned to see a monkey charging straight at me, well technically the man. Before I could dodge the monkey slamed into me, making my stealth disappear. It had knocked me off my feet and my dagger had gone flying leaving me defenseless. I couldn't get it off as it scratched at me and bit me. Then it stopped, the monkey was dead and the male was right in front of me.

"How long have you beem there rogue?" He said casually as he picked the monkey off of me and tossed it to the side.

"Not very long, I was actually wondering if you could help me with something?"

"Why of course, what's up?" He said offering his hand to help me up.

"Do you know where I could find Ji Firepaw? I was told he should be here." I said taking his hand.

"Speaking."

"Wait, your Ji?"

"What were you expecting some handsomer pandarian?"

"What!?! Uh no?"

"Haha just playing with you, I take it your Anich- can I just call you Ana?"

"Of course. "

"Great, I can't wait to work with such a lovely pandarian!" Wait, Did I hear that right?

"W-what?"

"Oh nothing, come on there's work to be done!" He ran off towards the center of the town. Then off into the distance.

"He is very energetic..." I muttered to myself as I chased off after him.

I panted when I reached him in the middle of a field.

"Okay I have a plan!"

"How. Are. You. Not. Tired?" I said in between pants.

"How are you tired? Well anyway, these stupid monkeys are definitely causing a problem. So whats the best way to get rid of them?"

"Kill them." I said plainly

"Exactly what I was thinking, I like how direct you are Ana, just like me!"

"Thanks"

"Okay so kill as many as you can and I'll meet you back here in a hour."

"Right here, right?"

"Right, lets go!" He ran off waving and in a moment was gone.

"Well okay..." I muttered then started walking the opposite direction. The monkeys were easy to kill so long as they didn't see me coming. I quickly took out 10, 20, 40, 80 using my stealth. I looked up to the sky after killing the 86th one. It had been about 45 minutes. If I leave for the meeting place now, I should make it at exactly an hour, and I can kill any monkeys I see on the way. As I started walking I thought about how he called me a lovely pandarian, no one calls me lovely, only the black and white pandarian get called that. But I'm sure he was just being polite. So I put the thought out of my mind.

"This is no time to be thinking about that." I said thinking out loud.

"Thinking about what?" I just then realized I was at the meeting spot.

"Oh, nothing"

"I'll let this slide this time, but from now on complete honesty with each other,  we are partners after all. Now with the decrease in the amount of monkeys we might be able to get something done."

"Does that mean you know what to do already?"

"Of course! Everyone does, its not unknown as to how to find Huo, simply only one person can. You. The instructions will be clear once we get there. First though, I picked up something your going to need. I got you some kindling which is key to finding him," he handed it to me and I put it in my bag," I also grabbed a fluttering breeze to lead us there." He opened a bag and a little cloud of wind jumped out slowly hovering waiting for us to walk towards it.

"Why me?"

"Because." He said flatly. He then laughed a little which got me giggling too.

We stareted following the breeze and it led us on and on until we reached a cave. At the entrance Ji stopped.

"This is as far as I can go with you Ana." He looked almost brought to tears.

"Alright." He grabbed me and pulled me into a bear hug and stroked my hair.

"You'll be okay." He snifled

"Okay" I said a little weirded out.

"I'll see you soon!" He cried out as I walked into the cave.

"You too, Ji!" I called back stepping into the cave.
