Chapter 7 Cow Tippin'

Why does she like it here?

"Hey grandpa, how is your day so far?" Y/n asked Doc Hudson.

"I am fine. Man if your mother was to see you now she would be disappointed. She would've asked why did you quit. You know that right?" Doc replied.

"And if my dad were here he would be happy that I left."

Doc sighed. "Well if that's how you feel then go ahead quit, but I need you to keep a close eye on that kid. He will be working over time a bit."

"That's fine." Y/n said waving and walking off. She walked into Flo's and ordered her usual(lemon peppered chicken fingers with some bbq flavored fries and a Coke.)

"Whoa slow down Y/n you are going to choke if you keep eating that fast." Flo said concerned. Shortly after McQueen walked in sweaty.

"Are you okay McQueen?" Y/n asked through a mouthful of food.McQueen chuckled at her a bit.

"Yeah I'm fine." He replied. "Just a little tired that's all." Flo gave him a bottle of water to cool him down. "Thank you."

"Your welcome sugar." Flo replied. "Oh and Y/n, Sally wanted you to met up with her in an hour at Wheel Well."

"Okay."

Y/n drove over to the Wheel Well hotel. She looked over the edge of the cliff to see the view Sally showed her two years ago. Man this place is amazing, maybe I should show McQueen someday. She thought.

"There you are." A random voice called out. Y/n jumped and turned around.

"Oh it was just you Sally."

"Who did you think I was, a mafia?"

"Well..."

"Wow, that hurts." Sally said offended. "Well I'm going to L.A. for some new clothes. You can have my old ones if you want. That's all I wanted to talk about."

Your jaw dropped. Did Sally really make you drive all the way up here to tell you that you can have her clothes. The drive here took a quarter of your tank and it was all because she wanted to tell you THAT! That is messed up.

You went back to town. It was already 6:30 pm. When you got back, Doc and Lightning were Waiting for you.

"Man what took so long?" Doc asked.

"Well it's not my fault, Sally made me drive all the way up there to tell me something she could have told me at her house." Y/n said bummed out and tired. "So why is McQueen here?"

"Because he decided to mess up and rush at his job to get out of here. So I decided that you and him will race each other. So don't lose if you don't want to fix the road."

"Why do you always use me as the solution!?"

"You are the only other racer here other than him." Doc casually said.

Y/n pointed at Doc with a expression that said you are a racer too. McQueen just stared at her and smirked.

"Are you going to race me, or quit again. Come on I want to see if you still got it."

"Of course. WHY WOULDN'T I." Y/n said while gritting her teeth.

"Well then let's race!"

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Was that floating like a Cadillac, or stinging like a beamer?" Doc called out to McQueen. "I'm confused."

Mater threw the hook to his truck over the edge, and it instantly attached itself to the race car. Y/n walked over to Mater and McQueen once he walked out of his car.
