Students began to enter the room all of them bypassing me. Maybe he isn't here.

"Awe, is the little crybaby by herself?" I looked up to see the witched bitches of the west.

Sigh... Today is not going to be a good day.

"Maybe, her buddy skipped when they heard they had suck em up for a partner," said Tiana.

"Look I don't know what you heard, but l didn't do anything with that boy," I said finding my voice. "Oh, it does speak Jenai," said Tiara. Then the leader spoke up again "I didn't hear anything," Jenai said leaning in. "I started it."

I jumped up ready to hit her but Ms. Perry seemed to have heard the whole conversation. "Jenai and friends come with me. Now!" Ms.Perry said. I sat back down and just steamed.

After about fifteen minutes a girl bustled into the room just as the late bell rung. She came over and sat next to me.

"I think you're in the wrong seat," I said.

She looked at me and said, "No, I'm not." "Okay whatever but when he gets here, I told you so," I said still a bit upset from Jenai's confession. "I'm not a nigga and I know what the hell my name damn is," the girl said agitatedly from beside me.

My anger simmered and changed to embarrassment, "You're Kameron?" I said softly noticing the girls temper. "Yes," she said tapping her nails on the table. After that all I managed was a barely audible "oh".

I avoided looking at Kameron, I had honestly expected a guy. Now I felt like an asshole, should've stayed quiet. Kameron was talking to this guy named Jake, he was caramel, had brown eyes, round lips, and obviously had a thing for Kameron.

"You know that's who they say sucked up ole buddy," Jake said. "And you believe those troll bitches, you're just as bad as the others. Hell they probably were taking turns sucking him up and just blamed her. Besides how would they know if they weren't there." I heard Kameron whisper.

I sighed and cleared my throat catching Jake and Kameron's attention. "I didn't do anything with that guy," I said softly. "I don't even remember what he looks like. All I remember is crying then him finding me after that everything's black."

They looked at me in awe, like I had grown two extra heads. Homeroom ended and I almost ran out of the classroom. I pulled out my schedule from my pocket and tried to find E211 Culinary II. Eventually I'm told I'm going the wrong way and someone shows me the way.

Once I got in the first thing I noticed was Kameron already in the kitchen grating things here, chopping things there, and flipping things over there. The girl looked like she had eight arms.

She must have any me watching her because without looking up she said," You could help or you can just stand there and be a creeper." "Uh, yeah sorry," stammered. I hurried over to the sink wash my hands and joined her by the stove. I rolled up my sleeves and asked her for a tie, I noticed she had several of them on her wrist. Instinctively I rubbed my right one because of the marks there hidden by my wrist bands.

Kameron kind of tensed a bit at the mention of her hair ties and she kind of looked down for a second in thought. After what seemed to be forever she slid a tie off cautiously, but I still caught a glimpse of what seemed to be a dark line on her light skin. For some reason I grabbed her wrist and pulled the ties off. "What are you..." As I suspected she was a cutter too. Kameron looked ashamed and snatched her arm from me. "A word to anyone and I'll butcher you," Kameron said. I laughed which shocked her as well as me.

I pulled my bands off my right wrist and showed her my marks. Her eyes widened then her expression softened. "You cut too?" Kameron said in a whisper. I bit my lip and nodded my head. "If you need to," we both started then stopped because it was getting weird. After a prolonged silence and just looking at one another I spoke up," we can talk about it."

Kameron nodded her head. I picked up the recipe she was working on and glanced at Kameron again who was looking at me. "You can cook, right?" Kameron asked. "Hell yeah, I throw down" I said. We shared a brief laugh and started cooking. The way we synchronized you'd think we'd cooked together before and soon enough our little thanksgiving meal was ready for the class.

After we announced that the meal was ready the kids helped themselves, but Ms.Durkhill gave me a look that said" who the hell are you". Then I remembered I hadn't met her yet.

I nudged Kameron who caught on. "Ms. D, this O'Mara," she said. "Why were you in the kitchen without authorization?"Ms. D asked. "I...I," "I asked her to help she takes my homeroom," Kameron spoke up. "Really, but you never work with a partner," Ms.D said. "Things change, and if I have to have a partner I want O'Mara," Kameron said.

"Very well but she'll need to take the food handlers test, she is not to be in my kitchen without proper knowledge of danger zones and so forth," Ms. D said. "She'll be ready by Monday," Kameron said. "I will?" "She will?" Ms. D and I both looked at Kameron in disbelief. "You will," Kameron said smiling. Ms. D waved us along and we sat down after fixing our plates.

The smell of it made me remember I hadn't eaten in two days and now my mouth began to water. We said our prayers and ate in silence. Until Kameron kept staring at me. "It's rude to stare," I said. "Oh but it was okay when you were watching me cook?" Kameron said. "Touché," I said. Kameron laughed slightly and said I reminded her of someone, but she couldn't place a finger on where from.

We later learned that all of our classes were the same and Kameron showed me the way to each of them. On our way to 4th block I bumped into some one. My books fell to the ground. We both stooped to pick them up and we bumped heads, "Sorry," I said allowing the guy to pick up my books. Once he stood back up his face showed regret. I didn't know why but he just handed me my books and pushed past me. "Um, okay." I said trying to register what happened. "Kameron, you saw that right?" I asked. "You don't know who that was, do you?" Kameron asked.

I shook my head no. "Should I," I asked. "So you weren't lying," Kameron said "he was the one who found you in the bathroom." I stopped and looked back but he was already gone.
