Dean rolled over, colliding with his duffle. He groggily sat up, wiping the drool that had dripped down his cheek. He slowly stood up to register where he was.

"Sam? Sammy?" Dean called out for his bigger younger brother, but silence followed his call. He searched the room for any sign of a struggle; his eyes landed on a small piece of paper on Sam's pillow. He could barely read it, but he recognized Sam's tony scrawl.

"I've gone to get food for us. I won't forget the pie. I'll be back soon.
Jerk."

Dean smiled. "Bitch." He placed the note into the back of his jean pocket. He walked over towards the bathroom, turned on the shower and stepped into the hot stream of water. He thought about how Cas left hurriedly to meet Bobby. He seemed to be upset, he just couldnt tell with that angel. Sam could tell something was up too. Dean sighed loudly, his built up stress releasing, letting his shoulders sag in relief.

When he was done, he shut off the shower, leavig the room steamy. He reached to grab his towel on the rack, but it wasnt there. He felt around when he heard a deep voice.

"Here Dean." Cas' gruff voice grumbled through the plastic curtain, passing Dean a hot and fuzzy towel.

"Thanks Cas." Dean said, pulling the curtain away to expose his body. He wrapped the towel around his slender waist. He began to dry himself, but as he drew the towel away from his torso, his body went stiff and he hastily wrapped the towel around his exposed body. 'CAS!? WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?" Dean turned his back towards Cas, he glanced over his shoulder. "Dude. Seriously, I'm kinda naked at the moment so... could you, you know?" Cas understood. With a fluttering sound, he was gone. Dean relaxed and began to dry off again. As soon as he was finished, he turned towards the sink to find it empty. he had forgotten his change of clothes, and there was no way he was going to parade around in only a thin towel infront of Cas' awaiting eyes. He couldn't stand in here all day, and his phone was in the other room so he couldn't even call Sam.

"GODAMNIT!" Dean shouted aggressively when Cas popped up infront of him this time with his flannel pajama pants in his hands with a grey v-neck tshirt. "Jesus, Cas. Thanks, I guess." Dean slipped on the pants under the towel, that he had wrapped around his waist once again to hide himself. After adjusting himself, Dean pulled the towel off of his hipbone and hung it back on the rack. He unlocked the door to see Sam sitting at the dining table with a huge grin on his smug face.

"How was your shower, guys?" Sam chuckled deeply, never breaking eyecontact with his older brother. If this had been a cartoon, Dean would've had smoke coming out of his ears.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Sammy." Dean walked into the kitchen area and pulled the banana cream pie out of the mini refridgerator.

"I believe Sam is speaking of you being nude with me in the room, Dean." Cas deep, rough voice sounded behind Dean as he bent over reaching towards the far back of the fridge. Dean was startled, causing him to knock his head on the fridge door.

"Cas, get out of my ass! Jesus, Sam. We didn't do anything. he just handed me my towel and gotme clothes becasue I seemed to have forgot to grab some...I don't even know how he knew I need help..." Dean walked over to Sam and sat on the chair opposite, leaving Cas behind him.

"We share a more profound bond. I am in tune to your thoughts, if I am mentioned." Cas walked over towards the boys and sat in between them. He glanced at Sam, who was clearly trying not to look at them. "I wasn't going to bring it up again, my apologies, Sam." Sam clapped him gently on the back as a brotherly gesture.

"Cas. Can you hear me? Can we speak like this... telepathically, I mean." Dean thought to himself, wanting to try. he saw Cas' eys widen at him.

"Yes, we can. Why would you want to? You always include Sam in our conversations... I do not understand." Cas replied to Dean after relxaing slightly from the shock.

"I figure if you ever needed to speak to only me, without Sam knowing, or you know... anything really. We could do this...?"

"Yes, this is wise of you, Dean. You can also call me this way. That is why I came when you were washing youself... I was on your mind." Dean choked on his pie, causing Sam to glance up in question.

"I had to cough. Just had something in my throat..." Dean cleared his throat and continued to eat his pie, after cutting a portion for Cas to have. He smiled at Cas, and received a tight nod in response because angels didn't know how to smile. He would have to teach him.

"Cas, I have made it my mission to teach you humany things. Like smiling, laughing, crying... basically emotions of sorts." Dean looked at Sam for confirmation that he would help. Sam nodded. Cas stood up and put his plate in the sink. He stood uncomfortably, waiting for some sort of event to take place.

"So what did Bobby have to say? What monster will we be ganking tonight?" Sam implored. cas sighed in relief from the release in tension that was slowly growing.

"There has been something going on near him... in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Insect population has incressed dramatically and many bodies from morgues, new graves and victims have missing skin. Mostly parents are victims, he said." Cas smiled, or at least tried on Dean's part. He could see Sam thinking it over.

"Could it be a shapeshifter? Sam asked, but Dean shook his head.

"Shapeshifters don't go after parents. They also don't take skin off of the deceased...." Dean replied.

"Perhaps," Cas hesitated. He looked at Sam then at Dean. He nodded at Cas to continue his train of thought. "Perhaps its a rakshasa of Hindu mytholody. They take on people that children can trust and they sleep on a bed of insects. And they eat human flesh. They act as shapeshifters, but are more commonly known as maneaters. They haven't been seen in a while but it seems with the apocalypse brewing that they were destined to show up again. I've been keeping an eye out for these kinds of things..." Cas continued. He shrugged at the end of his sentence.

Dean's eyes were wide as he understood what Cas had done. "This is amazing, Cas. That is totally awesome that you've been keep track of this." Dean walked over to Cas and pulled him into a tight hug, but he held on longer than Sam could be comfortable with. He cleared his throat, causing Dean to jump back away from Cas with a deep blush on his cheeks.

"Are you alright, Dean?" Cas' face swam with concern. He felt Dean's faced that had heated up, "You seem to be gaining what you call a 'fever'" Cas air quoted. "Maybe you should rest or take medication of some kind." Dean smiled tightly. Sam chortled.

"He's fine, Cas. He is just flustered. Great job on the monster identification. You are shaping up to be a great hunter." Sam beamed. A low whistle rang from behind Sam.

"Hello, boys. Its nice to see you lot again. Squirrel, angel, I'll be taking Moose for a while." Before Dean or Cas could register, Crowley snapped his fingers and Sam was gone.
