old haunts

when these hands wrinkle

and collect at the knuckles,

when my walk isn't as fast

as the wind that pushes your hair back, now,

when my eyes aren't as brown

as the soft mud after the rain,

the only thing besides a beated old heart

keeping me afloat

will be old haunts of you.
