Alice's POV
"They... They're dead." As soon as the words left his mouth, I felt my heart drop to my stomach. No, this can't happen. My parents can't be dead. Tears started to form in my eyes and before I knew it I was bawling histerically. Liam came to comfort me, pulling me into his chest and telling me everything would be alright.
Just then all the memories from my childhood came flooding back. I remember when we went to America, we were all so happy. I couldn't believe they were gone. I would never see my mom smile again. I would never hear my dad's laugh again.
"Why didn't you save them....." I whispered to Liam, who was holding back tears. "We tried, but when we got there it was already too late.... Alice I'm sorry." By now I was angry, "If it wasn't too late for me how was it too late for them!?" I almost yelled. "Alice, you don't understand how big this fire was. Your entire house was on fire in a matter of a few minutes. We couldn't of gotten there any earlier!"
"Liam, what am I going to do? Im only 17 years old. I still have another full year of high school. How am I going to do this on my own?" I asked, fear lingering in my voice. Liam didn't even hesitate to answer, "You won't be alone. I'm here for you. Always."
