Chapter 5

I was still scared after what had happened yesterday, but I was even more scared that Richie comforted me.

I had gotten a call that Ben wanted to show us something at his house, so I put on an outfit and got on my bike. As Rich promised they all waited at my house, but they didn't have to wait long because all I needed to do was put on my shoes and go.

"Hey, Em" Stan smiled

"Hi Stanley" I returned.

I felt Richie looking at me so I looked back, but he quickly turn around.

Time Skip

We pulled up to Ben's house, I don't know why, but it seemed way cozier than the other guys' houses. I noticed Ben ran quickly ahead of us, not sure why, but he did. We walked into Ben's room: Stan, Eddie,Richie,Bev, and I.
Richie and I noticed that his room was filled with random newspapers about missing kids, and we looked at eachother kinda creeped out, but it made us giggle.

"Wow" Richie said pushing up his glasses.

"Cool huh?"

"No. No, nothing cool" Rich said to Ben, who looked rather embarrassed.

"I think it's cool, Benny" I didn't really, I just felt bad for Ben.

All of us started looking around at all the taping on the wall until I notice Beverly looking at a New Kids On the Block poster on the back of Ben's door. I turned around minding my own business, because I think it might of been a inside thing between the two.
I walked to Stan who had been reading closely on the pictures.

"Do you believe all this?" he asked me without taking his eyes off the newspapers.

"I never knew any of this happened, kinda freaks me out a little" I replied.

Stan moved closer to me and held my hand, I felt my cheeks burn.

"Don't worry I'll be there for you"

After he said I seemed to forget all about that day at the Quarry and that he didn't mean to leave me out, how could he, he's sweet little Stanley.

Ben started to explain some of the events to us but I kinda tuned him out. I stood around Eddie, talking about anything and everything and he just kept telling me random facts, which I enjoy, I loved that about Eddie.

"Where was the well house? Bill mentions grabbing our attentions.

"I don't know, somewhere in town I guess" Ben answered. "Why?"

When Ben had asked why? I knew something was going on with Bill, so I walked over and held onto to his hand rubbing my thumb back and forth across his, he looked and and smiled grabbing softly at my hand for reassurance. Then we all decided it was about time to go home and hopped and our bikes and started leaving.

"Em!" Richie yelled.

"Yeah?..."

"You okay?.. you know from the other night"

I wasn't exactly sure why Richie Tozier, the guy who didn't really care about much, was checking up on me.

"Um.. just a little startled is all" I tried to smile up at him.

Richie and I made eye contacts for about five seconds until we heard a voice.

"EMMA" I looked around

"Can I walk you home?" Stanley yelled trying to get my attention.

I stopped looking at Richie and smiled to Stan.

"Yeah, of course, see you later Rich" I waved back as Stan and I rode to my house.

"yeah...see you later....Peach" Richie said hoping on his bike with a saddened expression.

sorry to make this so short but, did you notice Richie called Emma "Peach"? maybe there is more to the word Peach than you know....

also yes they technically go to Bens house after the Quarry, but she didn't go with them there and I wanted her to go to the scene so sorry for the confusion :)
