"Jooheon." He heard from behind and stopped running, stumbling and rolled into a tree. He shook the dirt from his fur. Looking around he saw red eyes and was about to pounce till he saw who it was. "Hyunwoo." He bowed. "Jooheon I understand how you feel. Changkyun isn't in the right mindset. I'm sorry I told him. Truly I am if I could I'd take it back." "But you can't because you already said it. It's fine....He said he would rather kill himself. How he has nothing to live for. The hell am I to him then." He started yelling and huffing. "Joohe-" "No! He can't treat me like this. I hate getting mad but goddamnit." "Red eyes." Hyunwoo blurted out. "Wh-What." Jooheon snapped. Was this some stupid thing to distract him. If so it was terrible. "Your eyes. They're red. Redder than any I've seen." Jooheon was shocked. It wasn't right his eyes should be orange.
"N-Now they're orangish red." "Yah make up your mind. Red or orange." The younger yelled. "Jooheon I think you're an alpha." Hyunwoo was amazed as how he didn't sense it. Jooheon took a step back. He couldn't be. "I'm a beta. My parents told me. Th-They would never lie like this." Jooheons claws began to show and he was anxious. "When you were born the alpha of this pack wanted to be the only one. It's something that used to happen. One alpha and as many betas as they wanted were only allowed in packs, female omegas as well. That's why there are so many rouges around, but a few years after you were born the law changed. Alphas, betas and omegas can freely be choosen to stay in the pack. You're parents protected you and others did the same. Most confessed to having an alpha pup but many wrote them down as betas then." The younger nodded knowing this was true.
"We'll have to get you tested to put it in the record. Now can you calm down and come back to the pack." Jooheon nodded and took a deep breath. The two went back but heard a twig snap. They both stood on guard until they reached the boarder. Going through the town they were watched by many. As soon as they got inside Kihyun walked up and pushed Jooheon. "Yah why the hell did you guys leave. You gave Changkyun and me a heart attack." The two....alphas looked down. "Go to your mate and apologize. Now." Kihyun demanded. Jooheon growled at the younger which made Hyunwoo growl at him. "I don't have time for this. I gotta see Lisa." Jooheon sighed and walked off. Hyunwoo followed Jooheon giving his mate a kiss on the forehead before he left Kihyun speechless and confused.
Hyunwoo led the younger to the doctor. "Lisa we need to do a test on Jooheon to see wheather or not he's an abo." The woman before them nodded. "I see. Let me get the stuff. Mr. Lee you can sit down over there." The younger gulped and nodded. He was terrified of needles. As soon as he saw it his face turned pale. "Okay Mr. Lee you ready." He slowly nodded and shakily held out his hand. Then she pricked his finger. He growled and sucked his pricked finger. "Stop being such a fuss. I'll have the results in a few hours. Do you want them then or in secret. I'm guessing Changkyun and everyone you know thinks you're a beta. It's on your record. Filled out by your parents at birth. Back then alphas who were born into this pack were killed, had to leave or left to die in the wilderness along with their families. I'm guessing you're an-"
"This stays between us. I can't be an alpha. My parents told me I was a beta. It's in my record. Beta. B-E-T-A. That's what I am and will always be. The tests will prove it." Then he left. He had no idea where he was going. Anywhere but there. How did that doctor now everything. Her and her small pack of 4 came with Hyunwoo. Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie, and Rose. Who were they. What did they have to offer with this pack. "Jooheon. Lee Jooheon." The beta got out of his thoughts and looked around.
"H-Hyungwon." He questioned and walked up to the omega. "C-Could you help me with my pups real fast. Th-They won't stay still." Jooheon nodded. He walked into the room and saw two cribs, a large bed, couch, a few side tables, bathroom, closet and window. "Here." Hyungwon said and handed the younger one of the twins. He didn't know what to do with her. "Um." He mumbled. "Like this." Hyungwon showed him with the other twin. "Minseok?" he asked. Hyungwon nodded. "Yeah, see you got it. Now why not add one more." Hyungwon handed him the other twin. "Thank you so much. Their father is busy you know defending the pack and making sure everyone is safe. I never get a moment to myself." He started crying and laughing at the same time. "Y-You okay." Jooheon asked.
The omega nodded. "Haven't slept in like over a week. Haven't seen Hoseok in god knows how many days. Worried what would happen if I left the twins alone for 3 seconds. I can't sleep and now I'm seeing things..." The omega hyperventilated. "Hyungwon. Go take a bath do whatever you need to. I'll take care of the girls." The omega thanked him and ran into the bathroom shutting the door and locking it afraid the beta would change his mind. A nice calming bath was all he needed right now. 30 minutes tops. Maybe 45 we'll see. Jooheon yawned and walked around. His feet grew tired and the girls were sleeping soundly in his arms. The mirror showed him with the twins. He suddenly wanted one. A pup of his own with Changkyun. Maybe it was because of what the others said. How he was probably an alpha. If that were the case he could have pups with Changkyun.
"Aish stupid thoughts." He sighed and shook his head. Imposible. His parents would never lie. Right? The sound of one of the twins crying shook him from his mind. "Shhh." He whispered. "Your eomma is a little crazy right now. If he hears you he'll definitely stuff you into a pillow." The baby stopped crying and fell back asleep. "Why don't we lay you both down so you can sleep peacefully. My arms are killing me." Jooheon whimpered. He went to the cribs about to lay them down when one started crying then the other. He pulled them back up into his arms and they stopped. He glanced at the comfy bed and huffed. "Take that back I don't want any." He mumbled and sat down himself. Both the pups slept. Jooheon was on the verge when the bathroom door opened. Hyungwon appeared. Jooheon about to stand up when the omega shook his head.
"They haven't slept in hours. Stay there." The younger nodded. "You should sleep as well. I'll watch over." He didn't have to tell Hyungwon twice. He laid on the bed and fell asleep instantly. Carefully Jooheon moved his arms and got up. He didn't feel right laying in a bed with pups who belonged to another alpha. Their omega asleep on the bed beside him. So he sat in a chair and looked out the window thinking. While still watching the door he thought. Was he really an alpha? He'd have to see the test results to be convinced. There were signs for so long why hadn't he seen them. His figure was big like an alpha, he acted like one when it came to protecting those dear to him. When he fought he'd killed rouge alphas easily. To a normal beta it was a struggle. To Jooheon he had considered himself lucky. Life was changing so fast and he hated it. One minute everything was perfect then this new pack shows up and one of them was the new alpha of the pack. Alpha, beta, omega. Who the hell cares.
Everyone was equal besides strength. Sure some had more difficulties some didn't. Why did this pack out of all the others have to be this unlucky. His best friend was attacked along with his mate. Who now hated being alive. Sacrificed everything and now has nothing....because of Jooheon. Changkyun couldn't have the things he loved. Pups, full capability of his body. If only he'd been the one that had to watch, but then that meant Changkyun would have gotten kicked and beat. Perhaps kidnapped for being an omega. That's why they weren't allowed to be elites. It's just that Changkyun didn't take no for an answer. He told the alpha before Hyunwoo either he could train to be an elite or he'd die without training. Making it seem like the alphas fault for his death.
"You don't belong in here." He heard.
The beta turned and saw Hoseok. He was rather angry. Eyes blood red and ready to attack. Jooheon gulped.
