⚠TRIGGER WARNINGS⚠ Abuse in Slight Detail, Misgendering. I think that's all, if I missed something please tell me

Once we got upstairs, April went into her room and shut the door behind her. Ryan turned to me and said, "Can I talk to you?"

"Yeah. Let's go to my room." I opened my door and beckoned Ryan inside. Once we got inside, I asked: "What's up?"

"What happened there? You just met him, and you suddenly trust him enough to give us a ride home?" Ryan asked.

"Look, I'm not sure why I trust him so much. But I promise, I would never let anyone near you or April that I didn't completely trust," I said, realizing that I have no real reason to trust Roman. Well, other than the fact that he did save me earlier.

"I know that Virgil. I just don't understand what someone that you just met today could have done to make you trust them. I mean, you barely trust people you've known for years," Ryan replied.

"You have a point. But, he helped me with some bullies earlier, he's cool with me being gay and trans. I trust him completely," I said.

"I just don't want you or April getting hurt because you trusted the wrong person. I like Roman, I do, but I'm going to need to know him better before I trust him."

"I get that Ryan."

"How much does he know?" Ryan asked after a minute.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"How much does Roman know about our home life?" Ryan asked.

"Everything," I muttered.

"Everything? You trusted him enough to tell him everything? And you didn't even think to talk to me or April?" Ryan asked, slightly angry.

"I'm sorry. I am. I broke at school and told him. I didn't mean to it just happened. I'm sorry Ryan," I said.

“What happened, what do you mean you ‘broke’?” Ryan asked.

I explained what had happened after gym with Remus and Dolion. After I had finished explaining what happened, Ryan said, “Ok. You should let me look at what happened.”

“Ok.” I grabbed the first aid kit that I always keep in my room and handed it to Ryan. I grabbed my desk chair and moved it next to my bed. I pulled off my shirt and sat down on my bed across from the chair.  Ryan sat down and looked at my chest, which was littered with scars and bruises.

Ryan gasped at the number of new bruises that I had, and said, “Virgil, this is bad. Is this all from those bullies?”

“All of the new ones, yeah.”

“If this keeps happening, your going to have to go to the nurse Virgil.”

“I can’t Ryan. If I go to the nurse, they’re going to see all the other injuries, and call child protective services.”

“I know that Virgil. But these are really bad. This is a bit above what me and you can treat with a simple first aid kit. Did you even bandage these at school?”

“ I don’t just carry around bandages at all times Ryan.”

“I know that, but if this is going to be a common occurrence, you might want to start.”

“I’ll be fine.”

“Just promise me that if this happens again, you’ll start keeping something with you.”

“Ryan, I’ll be fine.”

“Virgil, promise me.”

“Fine. I promise.”
