⚠TRIGGER WARNINGS⚠ Mention of Previous Abuse, Swearing. I think that's all, if I missed something please tell me

Once we got to Roman’s house, he leads us inside. My back got a little bit better on the ride over, so I was able to walk into his house without help.

“There’s only one small guest room, so two of you can share that, and one of you can take my room,” Roman said once we all got inside.

“And where are you going to sleep?” I asked.

“I’ll take the couch.”

“No. April and Ryan take the guest bedroom, you keep your room, and I take the couch.”

“April and Ryan take the guest bedroom, you take my room, and I take the couch.”

“We agree on one thing at least. Ryan and April get the guest bedroom.”

“Ok. I’ll take them there, and then I’ll come back and argue with you over our sleeping arrangements.”

“Sounds good to me. Except I’m going with you.”

“Ok. But don’t hurt your back.”

“It’s already getting better. I’ll be fine.”

“Whatever you say Virgil.”

Roman leads us to the guest bedroom. When we get there, I say “April, you know Ryan likes to listen to music while he falls asleep, so let him do that. Ryan, you know April doesn’t like music, so keep it down low. Both of you share the space and don’t touch the other’s stuff. Got it?”

“Got it Virgil.” They both say at the same time.

“Oh, and I can take my stuff now. And since it’s only 8:00, you guys can stay up for a while. April, you can stay up until 10:00 with your brother tonight.”

Ryan hands me my bags and said “Yeah yeah yeah. Same rules as always.”

April says “Got it, See you tomorrow Virgil.”

“See you guys tomorrow. Goodnight.”

They both say “Goodnight” simultaneously. It’s honestly creepy how often they speak at the same time.

Me and Roman go back to the living room. I set my bags down and said “I’m not kicking you out of your room. Besides this won’t be the first time I end up sleeping on a couch. Heck, even If I end up on the floor, it wouldn’t be the first time. I’m used to sleeping in less than comfortable places.”

“Exactly. I want you to be happier here. I want you to have a better life here than you did. I’ve slept in a bed my whole life. I think I can handle the couch for a bit.”

“I’ve slept on a couch or floor half my life. I think I can handle it a while longer.”

“I’m not letting you sleep anywhere other than a bed.”

“I’m not letting you sleep anywhere other than a bed.”

“Ok then. What would you like to do?”

“I don’t know, we could always share a bed I guess.”

“Well, neither of us are going to let up, so, if you’re comfortable with it, then sure.”

“Well then, it’s settled. I guess we’re sharing a bed.”

“Alright then. I’ll show you where my room is.” He begins walking through the house, leading me to his room.

Once we get to his room, he said, “You can just put your stuff anywhere. And you should probably look at your back.”

I set my stuff down at the foot of his bed, and said “Ok. You mind helping me out? Ryan bandaged them quickly at home, but that was more to just get them covered and stop the bleeding than anything else.”
