I blinked, and blinked again. 'Where am I?' I tried to move into sitting position, but I couldn't. I looked down my body and saw that I was strapped down on a gurney. I tried to wiggle out from underneath the straps, but I was securely held down.

I looked around the room for some sort of explanation. The room I was in looked like a hospital room for a prisoner. There was a mirror on one wall and I had a suspicion that it was a one-way mirror. Maybe with someone on the other side watching me... I inspected the mirror closely, but didn't see anything.

I rested my head back and sighed loudly. I thought back to the events that had led up to this point.

"I wish that Eden and Grift could see Ryan, they need to keep him safe." I sighed again.

I looked at the light above me, imagining the electricity flowing through it, when suddenly the door to my room burst open. It made a large 'bang' sound, scaring me after the silence that had fallen. The lightbulb above me exploded and the wires connecting to it started to spark.

A man can rushing in, took one look at the lightbulb, and ran right back out the door. Some of the sparks started to get dangerously close, so I pressed myself into the gurney and closed my eyes. After a moment, I felt myself being moved and opened my eyes back open. There was another man, the same one who had kidnapped me, pushing my gurney out the door and into the next room.

"You didn't have to go and do that." He said. I looked at his upside down face.

"What?" I was confused. What did he mean by that? I looked at the new room, it was exactly the same as the one I had just left.

"You know, make the lightbulb burst. The worst you could have done was electrocute yourself and that wouldn't have been good." He walked over to the door and closed it, then he locked it when he thought I wasn't looking.

"What!" I shrieked," I didn't do that!" He smirked at me.

"I'm Commander Wilkone. You probably don't remember me, but I used to know your father, we were childhood friends. Your uncle worked with me, until his unfortunate demise, and your mother is my distant cousin. You could say we're related, but if you'd rather not call me uncle or whatever, Commander will work just fine. Do you understand?" He looked my in the eye, totally serious, while I lay there like a fish gasping for water on land. The Commander 'tsked' me and pushed my jaw shut.

"Learn to jeep your mouth shut, we're not here to catch fly's." He walked over to the mirror and nodded, speaking quietly into his collar. He looked over to me and then continued whispering.

"Ummm... excuse me, sir? What are you saying?" I tried to hear what he was saying, but he was speaking to low. I was about to try talking to him again when he turned back to face me.

"In a moment, you will given a serum that will be incredibly painful to you, but entirely useful to us." A woman walked in, pushing a cart full of syringes and fluid bottles. "Are you ready?" He looked at me with a wicked smile.

I took one glance at the cart and started to panic. I tried wiggling and flopping out of the gurney, but nothing worked, I was stuck. The fact only made me panic more. I started to hyperventilate and bit my tongue by accident. By the time Commander Wilkone had the woman inject me with something to calm me down, blood was pouring from my mouth and the straps were considerably loosened.

"Are you done? If so, we'll begin." Wilkone instructed the woman to inject me with several different fluids. Once she had, I started to feel funny. As if I was floating, almost like I was leaving my body. I also started to laugh, as if the simplest thought were the funniest thing in the universe.

"Alright, it seems to be working. First question, May, who are your parents?" I looked at him and laughed, beginning to cry from all the laughing.

"I don't know, they're dead." Was all I could manage before crying out in pain. Wilkone rolled his eyes and turned to the woman.

"It seems you've made some mistakes with formula. It has far to much SG67 in it and not enough CK14. We'll try this again tomorrow. Make a new batch before then, and clean May up. There is blood still coming out of her mouth." I laughed at his back as he walked out the door.

The woman turned to me and ripped off her face. I screamed with laughter, and terror filled my eyes.
