I decided to skip straight to the last chapter, the chapter about me.

                                                        May April Taylor

Father: Jacob Matthew Taylor

Mother: Summer Flower Holmium

Birthday: Unknown

Birth Place: Unknown

Birth Certificate: Unavailable

The rest of the page continued like this, with either an  Unknown or  Unavailable. It was strange, I knew all of the answers were known and available. My parents had my birth certificate and all the information needed to fill in the page. I turned the page and continued reading.

May appears to not exist, yet she does. There is no recorded  of her birth. Her birth mother and father died upon May's birth. May was adopted by a government official approved family  ( approved by Dr. Alfred Taylor  ).

She also appears to contain special powers, powers that are not entirely known to us. There was a note found after her birth, it was found clutched tightly in her dead mother's hand. The note was promptly burned once memorized by the nearest government worker ( Dr. Alfred Taylo r  ).

As a baby, May continuously showed signs of something different, something strange, hidden behind the baby that she was. One such case  was  when  her  hired  babysitter  quit  suddenly .  She  reported  that  the  baby  was  not  a  baby  at  all .  She  also  accused  baby  May  of  eating  her  boyfriend.  The  boyfriend  was  reported  missing  the  next  day ,  and  the  babysitter  died  several  days  later  under  questionable  circumstances  (  of  which  have  entirely  nothing  to  do with the government ).

Eden suddenly shouted at me, "May! Come quick! Grift is waking up." I scrambled to my feet and ran to where Eden and Grift were. The vines were completely gone by now and Grift had no mark that he had been shot.

"Gosh, I feel terrible," Grift said, sitting up.

"Well, considering that you were shot several times and have been wrapped in vines for several hours, that is expected." I sat down next to him, tucking the book in my pants waistband.

"Water? Berries?" Eden shoved them both in his face.

"Yeah, thanks." Grift sad taking them. He threw a couple of berries in his mouth and swallowed them with water. "Where'd you get these?"

"I found them in the forest. There are a ton of berry bushes and streams of water." I gestured around us. Eden and Grift looked around, then looked back at me.

"May, there are no berry bushes or streams of water. There is only tons of trees and lots of leaves. They looked at me questionably.

"But they are there, I swear!" I pulled a berry from a nearby bush.

"Whoa! Where did you get that!" asked Grift.

"From the berry bush" I answered honestly

"Something strange is going on" muttered Eden.

Once Grift had recovered enough that we could continue moving, we decided to travel North. We didn't have anywhere else to go so we picked a random direction, which was North.

"No, Eden. North is this way." I sighed. Eden and Grift had been arguing for the past 5 minutes about which way was North.

"No! Grift, don't you remember? The side of the tree that the moss grows on is North. I taught you that." Eden began to frantically pointed in her direction of North. Grift's eyebrows knitted together in confusion.

"What! No! You taught me that North is the side opposite that the moss grows on!" I stepped in-between them. Stopping the poke war that had suddenly broke out between them.

"Guys! North is that way!" I pointed in a random direction. I actually had no idea which way was North, or even knew how to tell from my surroundings. I used to know by looking for the North star, but seeing as how the stars had mysteriously disappeared, I was stuck with guessing.

"You're sure?" asked Eden. I nodded my head vigorously. Inside I was shaking my head 'no'.

"How do you know?" Grift asked, squinting his eyes at me.

"I used to go hiking and camping with my father. He taught me how to know which was is North." I was lying my teeth off, but it got them to stop arguing. They both shrugged and set off in the direction I had pointed towards.

The sun was just starting to rise before any of us spoke again.

"So what did I miss while I was healing?" Grift asked.

"Nothing much. I only managed to read a few chapters of May's uncle's book before I dozed off. May had gone off with Ryan to find berries and water, then came back and started reading her uncle's book. Oh! You were wrapped in vines the whole time you were healing. Apparently that's May's power, pretty cool, huh?" Eden elbowed me.

"Cool. Do you guys mind if we take a little break? I'm still making blood that I had lost and I'm starting to feel a little woozy." Grift sat down on a nearby rock.

"Yeah, good time as any. I think we all need it." Eden sat down as well and pulled out the canteen. She raised it to her lips, but only a few drops of water came out.

"May? Do you mind getting some more water, we're out. Oh, and maybe some berries while your at it. Thank you." I grabbed the canteen and headed to a nearby stream. There was something different about the water, and the berries too. It was strange, I couldn't place the feeling. After refilling the canteen and filling my pockets full of berries, I headed back to Eden and Grift.

"Here," I said, handing them over to Eden. "I'm going to take a nap with Ryan. Wake me up in a few hours, when you're ready to go." I snuggled myself into Ryan, and quickly fell asleep.
