Today is Tuesday and the sun
Did not shine on everyone
In fact, some were rather upset
And the holidays are coming faster yet!
Do you know why a person or two
Whispered quietly about you-know-who
Because-another fact-it's a mystery,
Why do people care for more than TV?
In this day and age, when phones are in
Nobody cares if the football team wins!
And the cars are quieter in the sound
That poor park's empty merry-go-round
The outside is quieter because all are in
Cans are really thrown in the recycle bin
Hey, so maybe today was okay
Someone apologizes every day
The weather's good for the middle of fall
Vacation is looming-the best of it all
I hate to admit it, stubborn can be
You made someone smile today-me!
Enjoy today, but soon you'll call
Cause TOMORROW will be the worst of it all!
