Aslin hasn't been around much lately. With her busy schedule and all her clients. You do understand that she loves her job and she cares for her clients as well. She is supposed to come to Zadie on Friday when she is done with all her other clients for the week. You have texted her and talked to her almost every night which is good. But you are getting to the point where you are missing her next to you.
"Hey" Aslin texted.
"Hey you." You texted back.
"You want to make plans for tomorrow?" She asked
"Sure! What kind?" You asked.
" Leave that to me. I got this." She replied.
"Ok! What time are you coming over?" I asked.
"I can't tonight but I will be there bright and early in the morning. I got plans to make." she said.
"Ok ! I miss you! and I will see you in the morning I guess. Is 8 ok?" I asked
" I miss you sweet lady. Yes 8 will be great. See you at 8."
"ok!"
As you put your phone down, you holler for the girls.
"Girls!"
"Yes mom" They both replied.
" We have to go to bed early tonight. Got plans tomorrow with Aslin." I said.
"She's not coming tonight?" Zadie asked.
"No she will be here early in the morning we are going to have an all day thing with her i guess." I said.
"Ugh I wanted another Mellow time." Zadie said.
" I'm sorry but she is arranging a family date for tomorrow." I said .
Just then Zadies eyes grew big " Oh a family date. When did people start having family dates?" Zadie asked.
" So it's like WE are dating Asling? Not just you?" Zoe asked.
I couldn't help but giggle at that "I guess so. Just as a family but I am the one actually dating her." I replied.
" So mom while we are on this subject.. When did you start dating girls?. Don't you like guys anymore?" Zadie asked.
Caught a bit off guard not knowing what to really say. " Um .. She is the first girl I have ever dated. As for men , well you dad was the only man for me. " I said hoping that made things better for them. With the silence and the pleased looks on their faces I then say. "Now make sure before we go that you have your school work done or it goes with you and bring your journals."
" Yes mom." They both said.
The girls proceed to their room. Both are excited and happy in their own little ways. yes disappointed that she didn't make it tonight but they know there is bigger things for tomorrow as well,
As I sit here I start to thinking. I start thinking of her. which seems to be happening a lot more here lately and starting to really miss her. I think the girls are too. Zadie has painted everyday this week. and Zoe has started to play her keyboard again. Yes i think moving here has been good so far.
ASLINS POV
I know I haven't been there as much as I want to be but I do have other clients. I miss her and the girls more than I should . It's just been a little over a week and Omg! I could see me with the three of them as a family . Question is what do you do on a date with 2 kids. Wow I am out of my league here.
I hope the girls are pleased with their surprise tomorrow.. I know when I was their age I would have loved going to a live concert but going to this one is more than just one. It's a whole weekend of concerts. Also I want Arabella to be happy too. God how she makes me smile and feel like a kid again I just hope she doesn't play me.
*** Meanwhile***
While Aslin is arranging things for their day.
"8 am in the morning .. Ugh.. so early. I wonder what she has planned for us.?" I said out loud to myself. The girls are in their rooms getting in bed, they know it's going to be a long and exciting day with Aslin.
"Zoe what do you think we are doing tomorrow with Aslin?" Zadie asked.
" I don't know but I sure hope it is fun." she said.
" Mom said we need to be ready by 8 in the morning." Zadie said.
" Yeah so this means we need to go to bed early and rest because it's going to be a long day right?" Zoe said,
"Yes!" Zadie said.
As I am sitting in my room thinking how good the girls have been and how things have been good. The move here was hard but well worth it. We are happier now then we have been in a long time and we are all together, just then i get a text from Aslin.
"Hey did I tell you that I missed you?" Aslin said.
"We miss you too. So you are going to tell me what we are going to be doing tomorrow?" I asked.
" Haha no I'm not telling but I am hoping you like it and so does the girls." She said." And lets just say you owe me a dance!"
" A dance. haha sounds good to me hunny!" I replied, "But I have a question!"
"Yes Baby what is it?" She said.
" How many women have you swept off their feet like this? Straight women that is. But I don't think I am straight anymore. lol" I said as I giggled as I sent that to her.
"Haha Just you darling and the girls. haha" she replied. " So I guess that makes 3."
" I am going to smother you with kisses tomorrow I just hope you know that!" I said.
" From you ... Always." She replied.
" But babe it's 12 ,you need some rest. I will see you bright and early tomorrow. Kisses and hugs Hunny." she said.
"Ok Honey. I miss you, see you in the morning." I said back to her as I lay my phone down I can still hear the girls in their room talking.
"Does a family date mean we all hold hands?" Zoe asked.
"I don't know.I have never heard of it before." Zadie said.
" What do you think she has planned for us tomorrow?" Zoe asked.
" I don't know. maybe a hot air balloon or a limo I don't know." Zadie asked.
" Really?" Zoe said.
