A few days after the proposal. I am sitting looking at magazines.
"Hey baby! What are you looking at?" Aslin asked.
"A bridal magazine." I said with a smile.
"Oh have you picked a date yet?" she asked.
I put the magazine down.. I look at her how amazing she looks . her smile is so beautiful." not yet babe. I don't even know who to get as a bridesmaid or maid of honor.What about you?" I asked. "OMG where are we going to get married.. who is going to marry us... omg i didn't think of all this and the reception... omg..what am i going to do ..."
"Calm down baby.. We can always hire a wedding planner." Aslin said,
"Oh wow I forgot they even existed." i said laughing feeling better now
"So have you figured out who you want to be the bridesmaids or maid of honor" aslin said.
"No, have you?" I asked.
"Are we both wearing dresses or what?" I asked her
"I want a stylish tux." she said.
"I want the dress. I want what every little girl dreams of, I want it all,''I said smiling.
Aslin looks at me and raises one eyebrow.. "really huh? All?" she said laughing.
"Yes ma'am.." i said
Aslin pulls me into her. I am smiling ear to ear we start to sway to a song on the radio,
"I love to dance like this!" I said as I smiled.
"I love to dance like this with you." she said in response
As we are dancing and getting lost in each other's eyes. the girls come running in. They stand there for a few watching us dancel Aslin starts to show off some of her moves.
"I want to learn to dance like that." Zadie said, smiling at us.
"Me too! Zoe said.
You both turn to look at each other and then you look at the girls. we invite them to dance..
"I got mom.."Zoe said.
" I got Aslin." Zadie said.
We show the girls how to dance slow and to the beat.Aslin throws in a few of her moves in there to show the girls and they eat it up. It was fun doing this as a family.The girls enjoyed it as well
Later that night as your heading to bed you look at Aslin." I want to ask the girls to be in the wedding., I don't want them to feel left out. They are part of this family and they deserve this as much as we do. " I said,
"I feel the same way . I was going to ask them to be in it too. I have made arrangements for a special dinner just for this. king of like a proposal to them," Aslin said.
"Aww you're the sweetest i am so glad you are mine." I said smiling at her.''OH oh i am yours and the girls.." she said laughing.
"Hey they are the only ones i will share you with..." I said laughing..
"Not to change the subject.. I have an idea about who wants to be on your side or mine.!" Aslin said smiling with a smirk on her face.
"How?" I asked.
" We can take them shopping for the wedding. See if they want to wear a dress or a suit. then we will know where they will be." Aslin said.
"what if they both want to wear dresses or both want a suit? then what.?" I asked.
" Then they have made their choices. At least they will be in it with us." Aslin said.
"Ok sounds good but when do you want to do this?" I asked.
" We can today if you want.!" she said.
I agreed eagerly... one of my favorite things to do is shopping. So we go to the house and ask the girls if they want to go shopping...
"Shopping yes..." Zadie said..
"I don't want to go shopping.." Zoe said.
" We are going shopping to see what we are going to wear to the wedding." Aslin said.
"Ok then.. let's go." Zoe said.
We all get in to the car and turn the music up. It lands on a song we all know so we start singing in the car.
You sit there looking at your girls and your wife to be. It's amazing how much your life has changed. Zadie had overcome her dreams and she hasn't had many at all not after what happened to you . She has been such a good girl and Zoe has opened herself up to all of this and she is flourishing. I could have never thought I would be so lucky to have such a wonderful family.
As we arrive at the bridal bouquet i can see as well as hear the excitement in their voices.
"I'm with mom." zadie said.
"I'm with Aslin." Zoe said.
"Why are you two choosing sides? What made you decide to do that?" I asked the girls/
"Well you know you are not allowed to show Aslin what you are going to be wearing. Right?" Zoe said.
"Yeah your right! So let's just go in and see what we can find." I said,
When we get into the shop we go separate directions. Zadie is with me and Zoe with Aslin.
As we get to the dresses I look over and I see this beautiful white dress. It was a traditional princess gown. It had bead work that was so beautifully done. "This is it! This is the one Zadie. I got to try this one." I said,
"Ok Let's go try it on.. I think the dressing rooms are this way!" Zadie said.
I go following Zadie and as we turn the corner we run into Aslin and Zoe. I threw the dress behind me so they couldn't see it..
"Hey babe. Um Fancy seeing you here!" Aslin said with a cheesy smile.
Zoe looks behind me and her eyes bug out. She grabs Aslin..
"We got to go!" she said as she was pulling her away.
"SHEWW I thought she was going to see this dress and then I would have to find another one, But I really like this one." I said.
"Well come on mom we gotta get this on you see if it fits and get it to the counter before Aslin comes back." Zadie said.
We make it to the changing rooms without running into Aslin and Zoe again. I tried it on and it fit perfectly. The silver beads shin from the light making it sparkle like nothing I have ever seen. I look over at Zoe and she is smiling and shaking her head with approval. I go and change out of the dress and when I come back out I hand it to the woman there and tell her.." I want this dress but is there any way I can pay for it and pick it up later because my partner is here and I don't want them to see it." I asked.
The woman just smiled and said "Yes but now for the girl.. Is she going to be at the wedding?"
"Yes! But I'm not sure what she wants to wear yet!" I said as I looked at Zadie smiling.
Zadie looked at me and smiled. "I want a dress... and what colors mom?" she asked.
"Well I haven't picked out colors yet! Maybe we can do it by the colors of your dress that we find." I said as I smiled at her getting a big smile in return. We go and start looking at the dresses.
