I wanted to shrink, make myself unseen as possible. But doing that will make it visible that he's got his prey. I looked away, looking as blur as possible. Mrs Bong was smart, rolling the window up without saying anything and drove off.

... ...

I got out of the car, unaware my face was pale. Mrs Bong drove off leaving us alone.

"You OK?" Su Ya asked. I thought of telling her what happened last night. I thought of telling her my nightmare, but I didn't want her to worry for me. But it was better than keeping it all in.

"Last night, I had a nightmare. That stranger just now killed me in my nightmare." Shivers went down her spine. I saw it and I quickly comforted her.

"I'm pretty sure I'm paranoid." I forced a nervous laughter. She relaxed a bit.

. . .

"Good morning, Ms Lee." The class greeted the literature teacher as we bowed. Right after that, we sat down waiting for the next few instructions. With an uncapped whiteboard marker in hand, she wrote across the whiteboard squeakily. Appearing before us were the details of the final test. I can't wait for the test to be over so I can relax. We stood up and put our bags at the front of the class as instructed. Walking back to my seat after that, I felt a slight flutter in my chest. I was nervous. "Calm down. " I thought to myself as we were given the papers. It was a good thing to revise hard this morning and during recess time. All my thoughts were flowing smoothly through my brain and answering the questions became easy. Eventually, the literature test came to an end.

By the time the final school bell rang, I took out my geography textbook and file, waiting for my geography teacher, Ms Kim, to come inside. She did, but at that exact moment, something extraodinarily dangerous happened. Everyone's vision blurred slightly. A white noise silently played in the background, as it went into a crescendo. Then, the world flashed a thousand colours, as if a programmer was trying to blind us. Everything pixelated, objects and humans and buildings turning into a colourful cluster of geometric shapes. The entire process was just torture. My ears felt like they were about to be torn off. Agonizing pain shot through my spine and around my body. My arm felt as if it was ripped apart and I sensed my heart beating too fast. My stomach cringed, and blood formed around the edges of my lip, blood dribbling down. Conciousness slipped out of my body, but I knew better than to die now. With whatever energy I have left, I used it to focus on not dying so I could still see my friends and my loved ones when the whole thing was over, despite the fact some of them gets on my nerves. With a final burst of effort, my ears popped and mask soaked with blood, I yelled and shouted. Millions and trillions of beautiful lights came rushing towards me, and I didn't know if it was supposed to be a welcoming invite or something else. I guess I'll wait and see what's to come and accept it.
