"So, do you remember anything from chapter 7?" He says with a slight annoyed tone in his voice.

"No, I can't remember." I say shrugging.

"Okay, well it's late we can pick it up tomorrow." Checking the watch on his wrist.

"Okay. Wait, tomorrow?!"

"Yeah, you can't learn it all in one day." He says as he packs his supplies.

"Uh okay, just text me where and when okay?" I say rubbing my tired eyes like a kid.

"Do you want me to walk you home?" "It is dark outside." He says looking out the windows of the cafe.

"No, I should be fine it's only a 10 minuet walk."

"Okay, I'll see you later then." He says as he opens the door for me.

9:45

"Who's there?" I said for the 3rd time looking behind me. Again no one answered.

Walking quicker as I heard the footsteps get louder I broke into a blind sprint.

Eventually passing everything and was met with the beginning of the woods.

To go in?

Or do I let whoever is behind me get me?

Going in for me it is.

Running at top speed, I hid behind a tree to try and catch my breath.

Heaving quietly trying to listen for anything. I heard a rustle of leaves, panicked I couldn't move.

Seconds later an animal as big as a bear lunged at me, it was red as autumn leaves, and pounced on top of me.

Instant pain was felt in my arm when it was punctured by something sharp.

Then everything started to get blurry and I could hear my heart beat in my ears like a drum, getting louder and louder.

It sounded like it might explode. The pressure in my arm was unbearable, feeling like my body was breaking.

And then, just like that it was gone. The bear-like creature was pushed off of me, by a second one.

My eyes widened, the pain in my body leaving me immobile. My breathing was fast as I held back a scream when the second creature used his long claws to slash the first.

The red creature decided to retreat further into the woods.

Was I next? I thought laying there, terrified.

The second monstrous creature slowly crept towards me, panting from exhaustion.

I was at the point of shaking in fear. It got closer and closer until it was in front of me.

Screaming at myself trying to wake up, hoping to god it was a dream despite pain that was still throbbing through my arm.

The creature was looking at my arm as if he was a doctor examining a patient.

And then, the strangest thing occurred. The creature put its ears forward and it's eyes changed. It looked sad, and hurt. As if it was the one with the gash in its arm.

And then,

it started to lick.
