(Toya)
I was running late for the sign-up meeting. I had a class that night, business math. Oh, how I hate math, the teacher ran over and gave us loads of homework. I had worked before class, so I was wearing a pink blouse, blue jeans, and some nude pumps. The day before I went to the salon to get my hair done, so it was curly ringlets all over my head. As soon as I walked in, I saw Axel, he was completely handsome. I thought to myself I wonder if he is going to try to talk to me tonight, or has he finally got the picture.
I was so excited the road trip fell right during spring break; we were going to a lake house retreat for a week. It was so packed at the mansion I think almost all the clients were there. I had been busy on the site; it was not like any site I'd ever been on. You could play games with potential matches, schedule a date, or pick a chatroom to chat in. You also had the option to view the suggested matches. There was a fee for the whole matchmaking experience. But it was a one-time fee of $100.00. With the one-time fee, you had total access to the site. However, I was glad it was payday because sign-up tonight costs $75.00. I live a pretty comfortable life, but I was also paying my way through college all by myself. At times things can get a little tight, finances wise. I was just grateful for the allowance my parents left me and my sister.
I found myself daydreaming, and not really listening to the rundown of policy and procedures of safety. Which I know had to come from Cynthia. I laughed at myself and found that the meeting was over. I went and signed up and paid the fees. I didn't see Axel anywhere. Wow, am I disappointed with what is wrong with me. Just as I thought I was getting away, Cyn was marching over to me dragging Axel along.
"Hi Toya", they both said in unison.
"Hey Axel, Hi Toya", and said looking confused.
"So, I'm just going to say this and get it over with, Toya I was wrong about my brother. "He is so crushing on you; he's had a change of heart. "Toy please just give him one date, for me?"
For I minute, I stood there with my mouth open. For Cyn to say this, I knew it had to be serious. I looked at Cyn and then Axel and said, "Ok, one date only".
Both Cyn and Axel begin to smile. "Well can I get your phone number", Axel asked.
I was totally blushing when I said, "Yes".
