Teagan woke up at the sound of her alarm, it was 4:30AM. She got up, and started to get ready for work. Teagan was a apprentice at a small lab in the small town of Ocville, Nunavut that she lived. By the time she was ready it was 5:45. She hopped into her old 1985 Hummer, and tok off. She arrived soon after. The building was one story, with trees surrounding it on all sides. With the raising sun shining through the trees the white coating lit up brighter than anything Teagan had ever seen. She walked into the lab, where she was immediately greated her boss. "Mrs. Jones," he said looking down on her, "we need you in room 103, now." He turned away, leaving Teagan there. 103? Isn't that the special operations room? She ignored her thoughts and speed walked towards the room she'd been ordered to go to. When she opened the door, Teagan almost fainted. There was a small girl sitting in a small class box with little holes in the sides for her to breath. But something was off with the girl, her ears looked to have been replaced with... cat ears? Teagan looked around the room to see if there was anything to tell her what was going on. She noticed a clipboard with read 'Patient 001.' There was a few things written underneath, but it had been all smudged, she could barely read the girls name. Addie. Jer name was Addie, or at least that's what Teagan took it. She walked over and unclipped the box off the table, "Shhhh," she whispered in a shaky tone, "It's ok, Addie." The girl- if you can consider her that -looked at her, she had green eyes that glistened under the white sterile light. Her hair was a bright purple with her little black ears popping out on the sides. Addie stared back at Teagan before walking on all fours and put her small hand on her face. I can't just leave her here, Teagan thought, who knows what they'll do to her. Addie was completely naked and Teagen had nothing to put her in. That's when she noticed a blue hoodie, a pair of Jean's with oil stains on them next to the table. Picking up the hoodie she noticed it was going to be way big on her but placed it over head anyways. Next was the hard part; how would she get Addie out of the lab? Teagan peeked out the door and saw a window on the other side of the hall. She looked both ways, and took off across the hallway. The small child gripped onto Teagan. They jumped out the window, good thing there's only one floor. She glanced around and saw the parking lot. She was running again, and Addie grabbed Teagan even tighter this time. When they finally reached her car she opened the back door and cursed under her breath. "Damnit, I don't have Kat's carseat," she closed the door and climed into the front, holding onto Addie tightly. In minutes they were gone.
