Over the summer, Evie made sure to stay in contact with Hannah, messaging her every now and then.

It had been awhile since either of them had spoken, when Evie and Doug and the rest of the crew returned to Auradon Prep's plaza where their graduation had also been held. Ben was going to propose to Mal and he had enlisted the help of Doug and his former bandmates.

Of course, Hannah was one of them. When the summer day arrived and the band stood ready to play the 'Did I Mention' rendition, Evie noticed Hannah all decked out in her band attire. She gave the girl a small wave and turned her attention to Mal and Ben.

Hannah smiled back. Lifting her trumpet to her mouth, she began to play to the beat, Doug conducted.

The event was quite exciting to Hannah, despite not being the 'romantic' type. As Doug conducted to end the band's music he put down his conducting stick and Carlos handed his guitar, while stealing his brass headwear.

Hannah looked onto the event playing out and even had to suppress her anticipation as she awaited Mal to say yes to Ben. When it happened, she hugged a few bandmates out of pure excitement.

She found Evie and they both shared the same look of happiness. "It's crazy isn't it?!"

"It really is!" Hannah said. She stood in awe of the couple and smiled. Though being surrounded by all the people had initially made her feel drained, she still felt the excitement rush through her body.

But she didn't know all that would change. After Fairy Godmother had cleared everyone to panic, she saw Doug place Jane in the hands of a royal guard and help to keep the chaos as controlled as possible. She found him and inquired where she should go.

The former band leader instructed her to stay along with him as he was going to go back to Evie's cottage with Jane where he knew they'd be safe until Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos got back.

And they did just that.

The following day, Hannah was preparing for Saturday practice as usual, But just as she came out of her dorm, she saw pink smoke wisp in the wind outside of her window. She heard the news, but didn't realize it was so close to home. People were really falling asleep due to a spell. She contemplated just staying inside, but as the wisps of pink passed, she thought it would be safe. She went down the steps and out the doors. As she went into the plaza, she suddenly felt stationary. Her feet froze, then her eyes shut and next thing she knew it, she couldn't move.

As she stood there for nearly two hours, she was conscious, but had no idea how to deal with that. She wasn't going anywhere, anytime soon.

It was only then when she finally heard voices.

"Guys, Hannah turned to stone" Evie said in disbelief.

Hannah felt the slightest bit relieved that someone had managed to find her. She felt a touch to her shoulder and smelled a whiff of salt water and rose perfume.

Evie, the VKs and maybe a pirate? Hannah thought. Their voices got faint and she felt let down once more. But that was just fine. The VKs would save the day. Well—eventually.

Exactly at 11pm, Hannah felt her feet again. She blinked her eyes, though it hurt to see. She could barely move as she tried to stretch. It seemed as though the rest of the campus had awakened or became un-stoned.

People arose from benches and seats, everyone wondering what had just happened. News reporters, mid sentence shook out of their stationary stance. They cleared their throats and blinked a few times before managing to get back on air.
