It is Saturday today but Maddie and I are here at our school because we have a meeting for our incoming activities. I am the VP for Finance in our org while Maddie here is the secretary.
“Bea! Maddie!”
We looked behind and we saw Kat running towards our direction. She’s panting and signaled us to stop for a while
“Why? What’s the matter?” Maddie asked
She’s catching her breath but speak up anyways
“Thirdy talked to me and he wants to surprise Julia later at Sky Deck tonight! But he needs our help. You both in?”
Maddie looked at me and she seems excited. I tried my best to look enthusiastic and I think they bought it. We continued to walk while they are talking about the possible scenario
“So the only thing he asked is that we convince Julia to go with us. Knowing Julia though, she’s probably too hard to convince so I need you two to back me up…”
They continued to talk about the things that may happen and I can’t help but to space out. I liked Thirdy for years now but I haven’t told anyone, even my friends especially now that he’s courting Julia. I don’t want to ruin a perfectly good friendship with the both of them that’s why I kept it to myself,
“Hey Bea! Are you okay?”
I was brought to reality when Kat tapped my back. I haven’t realized that we’re in front of the meeting room now
“Yeah I’m okay. Sorry I spaced out a little bit…”
They shrugged and we entered the room. Our co-officers were there already and we’re just waiting for Julia to arrive
My phone chimed and I saw that there’s a message from Thirdy
From Thirdy:
Hey Bea. Got a message from Kat that you agreed to help. I appreciate it so much. Don’t worry, it’s my treat. See you guys later and wish me luck!
I don’t know what’s gotten into me but my heart raced just by the thought of seeing him later, even though I’m not the one he wants to see.
We heard a knock and there's Julia, standing by the doorway
“Hey guys sorry I’m late. I just dropped off our contract from our potential sponsors and one of them confirmed already!”
The room is suddenly filled with cheers, congratulating each other for a job well done.
“But our work is not done yet. We have to discuss other concerns…”
Julia sat down and requested everyone to settle down. We started the meeting and talked about lots of stuffs but my mind can’t focus because Thirdy keeps on invading my mind. I know, it’s corny, but it’s true. I wish he could leave me alone for a minute so I can focus. I was daydreaming when someone nudged me
“Bea, Julia is referring to you…”
I sat down properly and fixed myself like nothing happened
“I’m sorry. I’m just thinking of better ways to deal with our other sponsors so we can push through our plans for the fair…”
Julia nodded and continued to talk about our agenda but this time, I listened to her already so I don’t miss out

“Meeting is adjourned. See you all on Monday!”
After an hour or so, we finally reached the end of our meeting. My phone keeps on vibrating but I ignored it for a while because I am still writing something about our proposed plans for Valentine’s Day Fair
