Katarina breathed a heavy sigh, standing in-front of two large closed wooden doors that lead to her shared quarters with the king. Her heart was pounding so much she could feel it in her throat, her nerves were getting the best of her. She sighed again, realizing that she had to stop this worrying it was not good for her unborn child. The two guards, who were stationed outside their quarters, stared at her with glaring expressions. She nodded to the two, signalling that she was finally ready o go in.

Her husband was sat at his private desk, The cardinal standing above him talking in a hushed and sharp tone. Both stopping as Kat walked in. Henry nodded to the cardinal, signalling it was time to leave. "Your Majesties." He bowed lowly and left quickly. Giving the Queen a glare on the way out.

"My darling wife." Henry said, walking over and trying to kiss the woman who simply turned her head to the side allowing him to kiss her cheek instead. Henry pulled away, looking at his wife with a confused expression on his face. "My love?"

Kat pulled herself out of his embrace and turned around as the tears were already gathering in her eyes. Her confidence quickly fading. "I'm with child." She said simply her voice cracking in fear of him mentioning a son. Knowing she'd probably not be able to give him.

Henry's heart swelled, he was going to be a father with the woman he loved more than anything else in the world. The one woman that he'd give up his own crown for, yet here she was. Sounding devastated at the prospect of having his child. "why are you so sad?" He asked, his heart on his sleeve, his voice sounding broken.

Katarina brought her eyes up to Henry's. "It's not, if i produce you an heir. If not, you'll dispose of me."

Henry removed his hands from her face, his face looking broken shattered even. "Is that how little you think of me? After everything i have tried to prove to you how much i love you and yet you still doubt."

"I am sorry!" Kat snapped, her mood swings taking over. "Can you blame me?" She whispered, her resolve fading. She loved the king but her mind always swung round to the what ifs, and left her awake at night her biggest fear she'd be beheaded just like Anne Boyeln.

Henry, no longer knowing what to do, slammed the door and left their quaters. Katarina broke down into tears as he left.
