11th september 1533

Court flourished with news, their Queen had gone into labour. Anne Boylen, still recovering from her birth a couple days before, rushed into her family's living quarters. She had to tell them what had happened. "Father, Brother, Uncle." She greeted in a hurry, the three men stood. A look of concern graced her father's face. "The Queen walked in on me kissing the king-" She began, a smile broke out on her uncle's face. Did this mean the king was going to take her as a mistress? "And has gone into labour." Everyone gasped.

Thomas Howard, Anne's uncle, sighed. "We must pray the woman either dies or delivers a girl!" He announced. The others in the room looked at him in shock, they all knew that Thomas was a cold man but they didn't expect him to be this treasonous.

"Uncle!" George Boylen snapped, he didn't like the new Queen as she had stolen the king out from underneath them but to wish her death was completely out of order.

"What? If she dies the King shall need a new wife!" He snapped back, just as he did their handmaiden entered the room, "do you have news on the Queen?" Thomas asked.

"Yes My lord. The Queen has delivered two healthy baby boys." And with that their dreams were crushed. In his rage Thomas Howards swiped his desk, which had some expensive items laid upon it, straight onto the cold stone floor. When he slammed his hands onto the table their handmaiden ran out of the room in fear, and mild disgust.

"You never know, the king will still need a mistress he may take Anne!"Her father, Thomas Boylen, tried to reason with his wife's brother, yet he was only met with a harsh glare. "They have been married for months! She was pregnant for Heavens sake and he still did not stray!" Howard screamed, it was true. Everyone at court waited for the king to take a mistress whilst the Queen was with child but alas it did not happen.

"The Queen wont take him back into her bed now. She believes Henry and I have been together since before their marriage." Anne informed her Uncle to try and calm him down.

"What?!" He snapped, If Anne had lied to the Queen she could have angered the King and therefore they would never see her as Mistress.
