Chapter 9

"I'll never leave your side."

**Addie's Pov**

Those words made my heart melt right into his hands.

My heart started beating fast, and all i could think of was how lucky I was. He's truly amazing and caring and just overall breathtaking. It's weird how all the fame never got to his head. That's what I loved most.

"Promise you'll never leave me?" I held out my pinky

"I promise." he wrapped his pinky around mine and kissed my cheek making me blush like crazy

**Brooke's Pov**

Nash and I have been watching sappy love movies for the past 4 hours while Addie and Hayes are doing God knows what at this very moment

The credits started playing after 'Safe Haven' ended and we decided to give up with the movies for the rest of the day and just talk for a while.

Instead of getting to know each other like normal people, we played 'Never have I ever' we both put up two hands and one of us says "Never have I ever..." and you say something you've never done. But if one of us has done it, we put one of our fingers down. And whoever puts all of their fingers down loses.

He started the game off with "Never have I ever.... had a boyfriend" he smirked trying to make me put a finger down.

All of my fingers remained up.

"You've never had a boyfriend?" his eyes grew wide

"No? Does that surprise you in some way?" I laughed

"Well I just thought... Because youre so... Nevermind. Your turn" he looked away a bit embarrassed

"Never have I ever.... had girls throw themselves at me" I laughed as he put his left pinky down

"Hmm.... Never have I ever.... spent over 6 months in a hospital for someone else." I put my right thumb down resulting in us both having 9 fingers up still

The game continued for about 10 minutes, and we both had one finger up. "Your turn, And if I've done it then you win" he put a game face on hoping I wouldn't get it right

"Your turn" he smirked

"Never have I ever had a fan" I smiled cheekily knowing I just won the game

He put his last finger down and looked at me as if he were waiting for me to do something

"What?" I asked sassily

"We tied?" he raised an eyebrow

"No we didn't? I still have a finger up?" I asked in confusion

"But you need to put it down." He remained silent waiting for me to put my last finger down

"No I don't? I said I've never had a fan?" I once again had a confused face

"But you do. Because I'm your biggest fan" he grinned

I could feel my cheeks turning red and hot

"What do you mean? I haven't done anything? " he stopped me before I could even finish what I was saying

"You haven't done anything? Are you serious?! Who else decides to live in a hospital when they're 17 for their Bestfriend. You don't have to live here, and you know that. You chose to live here and you think that you haven't done anything? Seriously?" He slightly yelled defensively

"I guess you're right... but I didn't do anything to deserve fans? It's not like I'm a youtuber, or viner with millions of people throwing themselves at me. I'm just here helping out my Bestfriend. That's really it" he nodded his head in agreeance and we continued a small conversation until Hayes and Addie knocked on the door

"Come in!" Nash yelled loud enough for the floor downstairs to hear

"I was just making sure no funny business is going on in my bed." she giggled walking in the room with her hand intertwined with Hayes's

"So where'd yall go?" Nash asked changing the subject

"We sat out in the courtyard and just talked. Then we fed the ducks. It's so beautiful! Have you guys seen it?" Addie asked completely in awe

"I haven't! But I would love to sometime. Maybe I'll go when you're with the doctor during the times they won't let me back there with you"

"Orrrrrrrr.... you can go with me right now?" Nash stood up grabbing my hand practically dragging me out the room

"Looks like I'll be back in a few" I giggled while being pulled out the room "DONT DO ANYTHING I WOULDNT DO!" I yelled before Nash could shut the door behind us

"Then looks like we're free to do anything" Addie joked

"Don't even think about it." I gave Her a death glare the second the door shut behind us

"Ready?" Nash smiled intertwining our fingers and pulling me with him while he was skipping down the hall

We skipped down the hall together singing "Follow the yellow brick road" from The Wizard of Oz, until we got outside to the courtyard. We skipped past multiple people that gave us weird looks, and surprisingly that didn't phase either of us.

We sat on the porch swing and swung slightly. The flowers, the pond, everyone was so beautiful. I've never seen anything like it before

"Brooke. I have to talk to you about something" Nash turned his whole body and all of his attention towards me.

"Anything" I was more than nervous to say. I could almost feel my entire body shaking. Could he hear my heart beat? Its beating so loud I wouldn't be surprised if Addie heard it from her hospital room.

"I like you... a lot." he looked away a bit embarrassed but continued "Youre beautiful, and you're perfect, and I can't even begin to explain it. But why do you have to live so far away? You live more than 12 hours away from me. And I just know that as soon as I have to leave it's going to kill me." he closed his eyes slowly trying not to show too much emotion

"Trust me. If I could move out there by you I would. But I can't leave Her. I would never."

"I don't want you to. that's why this is so hard, you can't leave this place. And I can't leave home either. Maybe for vacation and stuff but I would never be able to move out here" I nodded

"Just do me a favor." he pleaded

"Anything?"

"Kiss me."
