Chapter 12

"Oh yeah, speaking of which... How abut that date?" He smirked

Addie's pov

Did he really just ask her out? What the hell. Oh my gosh. BROOKE. ANSWER. She's still standing there obviously shocked.

We all stood there awkwardly waiting for her to respond.

"I uh- but- what about Addie? I don't wanna-" I cut her off without letting her finish

"No bitch. You wanna go? Then go! I have Hayes here. Don't worry about us babe" I smiled

"Then yes. I'd love to go on a date with you" she turned her attention back to him smiling

I can't believe they're actually going on a date. Maybe that means that Hayes will be here more often if they start dating? Maybe Hayes and I will be next. Maybe he will like me too. I don't know how he feels about me but I have an idea considering how sweet he is to me. And that he is staying just for my surgery tomorrow. I can't believe he did that for me. The thoughts swirled around in my head back and forth debating how I think he feels about me

"Looks like it's me and you tonight then" I looked at Hayes hoping for a cute response

"Actually it's not"

We'll damn. Not the response I was looking for

"How about we go on a double date?" He smirked

MUCH BETTER ANSWER THAN I WAS LOOKING FOR

"Sounds good" I smiled back

"How about we go back to our hotel room and get ready, and we can see you ladies at 6?" Nash turned his attention to the both of us waiting for an answer

We both nodded and said our goodbyes

"See you tonight beautiful " Hayes kissed my forehead and walked out the door waiting for the two older lovebirds to finish their lovey-dovey goodbyes

They left and shut the door behind them leaving only two people in the room, me and Brooke.

"TELL. ME. EVERYTHING." we both yelled in sync

"Wait wait wait wait wait, you first. NO. YOU FIRST. " We continued in sync

"You first. I gotta know what happened in the courtyard" I had mental heart eyes

While explaining her story, I fangirled only about 5 times.

Brooke's pov

I hopped out of the shower and dried off. I soon got dressed in the only dress that I had considering I lived in a hospital with 1 big suitcase.

"What do I wear?" Addie whined

"I'm just wearing this. It's the fanciest thing I have to be honest" I said showing my white- longsleeved lace dress

"I LOVE IT ITS -" she had to stop what she was saying because she had a cough attack

"Easy killer" I patted her back

"It's perfect. As I was saying." she said quietly kind of embarrassed

"Let's get you ready love" I turned on the shower and waited for it to get warm before helping her out of the bed and walking her to the bathroom

While she was in the shower I finished up my hair and my makeup. Since my hair is naturally curly it took 3 minutes flat. But my eyeliner decided to fight with me today.

Addie hopped out the shower and got dressed in her fanciest thing she has, a black long sleeved dress that looks absolutely fabulous on her.

I did slight makeup on her even though she put up quite a fight

"IM JUST TRYING TO HIDE THE DARK SPOTS UNDER YOUR EYES FROM THE MEDICATION. LET ME DO MY JOB" I yelled sitting on her resisting her hands from pulling the makeup out of my hands.

I also may have done slight eyeliner and mascara without her knowing that I was doing more than just hiding dark spots

"Go look in the mirror." I smiled helping her up off the bed

She walked over to the mirror and looked at herself. Examining every aspect of her appearance in the mirror thoroughly. She did a slight smile before scrunching her lips and raising her eyebrows and turning back to me

"Hehe?" I put my hands up hoping she would approve of the slight makeup I put on her without her permission

"You know I hate you right?" She had a gleam in her eye that showed that she was kidding

"Oh shut up. You love me. And besides, you look hot. And don't you dare think otherwise" I said sternly and pushed myself off the bed

I texted Nash to tell him that were ready so we could finish the slight details in the the 10 minutes that it would take for them to arrive

As much as I hate to admit it, we both looked really good. And that's saying something considering I don't think of myself as pretty

"knock knock! I'm coming in to crash your party." Marge came in wheeling in her table of medications and needles.

"I'm so sorry. I totally forgot to ask if I could go out tonight. I-" marge held up her hand to shut her up

"No worries honey. They asked me before they asked you" she smiled a bit

Addie set herself back down calmly

"But I do however need to give you your medicines before you leave. And considering how pretty you look I don't think you want them to see you get shots again." Addie nodded her head and held out her arm to get another injection just like every other day

I held her hand and let her squeeze mine as tightly as she needed to

"All done honey. Don't stay out too late please" Addie loosened her grip and opened her eyes back up

Marge left and two minutes passed by. The wait was uneasy

"I hope they're okay? What's taking them so long?" Addie started getting a little jumpy

"I don't know. Hold on, let me call him real quick" I pulled my phone out and clicked his contact to call him. Straight to voicemail.

Oh great.

"I'm sure they're fine. Don't worry" I put my hand oh her knee to calm her down while we sat and waited.

Just as I was starting to get more worried there was a knock at the door.

Without hesitation Addie and I both jumped up and opened it to see two teenage boys in tuxes, and both of them has boquets of flowers in their hands.

"Wow." They said in sync and both of their mouths dropped open practically drooling in the doorway.
