My lovely siblings fell asleep a little bit ago, I slowly get up not to disturb them they look so peaceful well almost derricks butt is in the air and his mouth is ajar. letting out a small sigh I pick Derrick up and carry him up the stair to their shared room I realized he still has his the clothes he wore to school on so I change him into his pajamas and tuck him into bed; I do the same with the other two after I tucked Alice in I kissed them good night shutting off the light as I walk out the room. As I walk down the stairs I take note of how quiet the house is at night I can hear the light taps of rain tapping on the roof. I turned off the lights downstairs as I was heading up there was a knock on my door, of course, I know better so I continue to walk up the stairs. Reaching my room my phone vibrates I wait to open it until after I've gotten ready for bed. As I laid down checking my phone It was a text from Kaylee "hey girl I wanted to know if everything was okay and if it was still alright for me and Liz to drop off our siblings tomorrow let me know xoxo" I smile and replied with a simple, yes shutting my phone off to sleep and have blissful dreams.
The next morning I was woken up by my phone buzzing my mind still a blur I answer "hello?" my voice echoed a little I could hear the grogginess in my tone "Nikki are you awake it's me, Lizzy!" the excitement radiating from voice as she semi yelled into my ear; "yes I know who you are is 6 AM Liz" I say almost pleading with her to quiet down "oh yeah sorry anyway we're at your door you have a package out here too" what package I didn't order anything. Pulling myself out of bed the coldness of my house hits my naked arms walking to my closet and put on my robe and house shoes I head downstairs. I unlock my front door opening it to almost being trapped by three kids and my two best friends "good morning to you guys as well" I'm slightly winded from moving out of the way "you took so long opening the door It's freezing it's the middle of October" Kaylee states as she plops down on my couch I roll my eyes at her turning to Liz "so what are you two doing today" I ask seeing as I'll be here with all the kids. She pauses thinking of what they have planned before she replies "not much we wanna hang out with you till like one-fifteen maybe two-thirty" she says smiling walking into the kitchen to find breakfast.
I left the room to get Alice, Mason, and Derrick out of bed and ready for the day. After I got them ready I told them to head downstairs so I could get ready not too long after that I heard screams of excitement I let out a light laugh getting in the shower I made it quick and got out getting dressed shortly after. My outfit was a stay-at-home and chill sweats, a baggy tee-shirt, and fuzzy socks I put my hair in a simple low slicked back curly ponytail. I go brush my teeth then head downstairs to be with my family.
It's now 2:58 PM Liz and Kay are finally getting ready to leave after three hours of them saying "we're gonna head out soon" what a load of crap. I walk them to the door we talk for a little bit longer saying our goodbyes. They walk out to their car and just as I go to shut the door I remember the package I pick it up and bring it into the house. I set the box by the door it's a little heavy I turn to the six children watching SpongeBob "so what do you guys wanna do?" I am answered with silence this is going to be a long dreadful night. It's currently 7:39 PM I'm making dinner for seven people but it's spaghetti a meal that can be stretched for a week. I set up a little pallet on the floor with blankets I call the kids down from their room I hear all of them coming down the stairs laughing some pushing and shoving but all in good fun. I set each plate down in front of them with plastic cups of water, so I turn on Nightmare before Christmas for them as I go make my own plate of food.
The kids are done eating I have them go upstairs to get washed up for the night and ready for bed. After brushing the girl's hair and tucking all kids in making it two kids per bed I turn off the light and clean up around the house, as I was finishing up in the living room I look at the package by the door, I drag it over to the couch and open it I was shocked at what I found.
This was a boring chapter but the next one is exciting I promise but I hoped you enjoyed it. <3
