Chapter 5: The Nightmare

It was so weird for both of them when team AyKer was reunited. All their automatisms, all their habits went back so easily like they were never apart. They could be in the same office and they were not throwing knives on each other. But it had also an immediate effect on the whole company, Kerem was less tense and with a happier mood so the staff was more productive and gleeful because their boss was not yelling at them constantly.

During the last day, they had met several people and no one had more details about other men. They were in his car each time they had to go on the fields but the more they went empty-handed, the more Kerem was coming back on Omer's resemblance with the man.
Ayse could not explain it but she was sure it was a misunderstanding. The Omer who is around her is so comprehensive, nice, pure that he could not have any of the flaws Kerem was describing. But Kerem wants to prove to Ayse that this Omer is not the guy she thinks he is. His instinct has never been wrong so far and so many questions were on his mind: The story of the ring, that photo. He could not let his Ayse around this dangerous man as his suspicion were high.

Kerem asks Ayse to talk with Omer about this photo naively, saying that she found this photo while looking at her father's old pictures and she saw that this man was like him. So she could start asking questions about her in-law family. Omer won't be suspicious because they are engaged. But inwardly, he founds more and more suspect that Ayse was linked to a man, she knew nothing about. So he starts to speak up:
- "Ayse, what do you really know about this man that you wished to be engaged right after our divorce? It is such nonsense from you."
- "Kerem what did I really knew about you when we entered this game? and we got married, no?" says Ayse
- "You had been working in the atelier and you knew my father. So it is was so much easier to trust me and we had the same goals of improving our lives for the best," says Kerem
- "Omer was living in our neighboorhood. We were childhood friends and we get along as you and Ceyda. What would be the other reason?" says Ayse
Just the name of Ceyda in the lips of Ayse was a turn off for both of them and their mood went down.

- "Ok. Ayse, I drop this topic for the moment. But you need to get more information from Omer and his family. There is something off about him and I am so sure about it. I am not jealous, I am doing it for my father. Nokta." says Kerem
Ayse did not like this idea to confront Omer so she says:
- "I don't want to talk, but we are going to get in trouble"
- "I wish! I wish something came up!" Replies Kerem. He wanted so badly that Omer tells the true story about his family and the fact he staged his arrival in Ayse's life so he will get rid of him easily.
- "Off! Be careful about what you wish for. You might be surprised at how life can throw your own words back at you. Could you let me here? I will take the bus back home." Tells Ayse
- "I can drop you off at the top of your street, Ayse. I won't leave you here on your own in this street." Interrupts Kerem
- "Kerem I am strong women and I can take care of myself. I don't need your protection, we are no longer linked. So could you drop me off here? Please."
- "Off. Here you go. See you" says Kerem. And he restarts his car but not for long, a few meters he stops and parks the car so he could easily spot her entering the bus.

He was still looking and no bus around. 15 minutes have passed and it was already long for him. But Ayse was not in despair, he knew that she would call him up to pick her as her last resort. At the same moment, she was answering a call and she was replying while laughing and smiling. Kerem was curious about this phone call but he got his reply when 10 minutes later Omer's car was at the bus stop to pick her up.

Kerem was mad, she was more and more into Omer. She did not believe his conspiracy theory, and she throws herself into the big wolf nose by being engaged to him, without even thinking. He thinks "She used to be the voice of reason and to have the best theory, how could she be so blind? How could she not listen to him now?"
