A/N:
Hi guys!! This is the first chapter of my new Keaton Stromberg fanfiction, "I Need You." I know I always start a bunch and never finish them, but I'm really enjoying this one and I have three chapters done. I won't have an update schedule, simply because I won't have enough reads to need one. But I appreciate every single person that takes the time to read this. Please vote and comment and constructive criticism you have. I know this chapter is short, the next two will be as well. I don't know how long they need to be since I write it in my notes so I don't know how many pages they are ahead of time. So don't get mad at that!! Ahah anyways, this is really long but thank you if you read to the end. Enjoy!!

I sigh in annoyance and pinch the bridge of my nose. This customer does not understand what I'm saying, and it is frustrating me.

"Look. Like I've said a ton of times, we don't have any Penny's in stock. Go down the road a few blocks and you'll find a store called Jay's, they probably have some." He nods and walks away, and I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Rough day, huh?" I feel a hand on my shoulder and turn to see Isaac, a sympathetic look on his face.

"Yeah, it's just not my day." As the words fall from my mouth, an extremely attractive boy walks into the skate shop I work at. He has small gauges in his ears, dusty brown hair falling in waves on his head. In his hand is a Rasta coloured penny, a wheel missing. I'm snapped from my trance when Isaac says bye, clocking out and leaving the skate shop. The boy approaches the counter.

"Hey," He smiles, his mouth full of straight, white, beautiful teeth. His smile is mesmerizing. "I lost a wheel when I crashed, but I need to replace all of them anyway." He motions to the Penny he just placed on the counter. I examine it.

"Yeah, no problem it'll take me 5 minutes. Same colours?" He nods as he browses the shop, and I decide to make small talk. "I've never seen you around, are you on vacation?" He turns to me, and his reply surprises me.

"No, haha. I moved here a year and a half ago to get treated for cancer. So I didn't get out much." He laughs. "I finished chemo 3 months ago, but I was on "house arrest" for 2 1/2 months to monitor my status and make sure the cancer didn't return so this is kind of the first time I've been out of the house." When he finishes, I find my mouth hanging open in shock.

"So you're cancer free now?" I ask, hoping for a good answer. He smiles and nods, and relief floods me. "That's great, I'm happy for you." I smile genuinely, and give him his Penny board back as he hands me payment for the wheels.

"Thanks, and I was, uh," his hand moves to the back of his neck, rubbing it nervously. "Do you wanna hangout later?" I smile, and put my hand out for his phone. He places it in my hand, and I punch in my number.

"Let's skate sometime, there's a park about two blocks down. I'm done here at 7, we can meet then." I give him his phone back and he smiles shyly. We wave goodbye and he jumps on his board and I watch as he disappears into the busy street.

KEATON'S POV

I look down at the new contact in my phone. 'Blue Evans', that's such a unique name. I decide it's probably a nickname, and make a mental reminder to ask about it later. Crap, I forgot to tell her my name. She was so beautiful it totally slipped my mind. I race home to fix my hair and put on some deodorant before heading to the skate park. As I crash through the doorway, I'm stopped by a brooding figure standing in front of the stairs.

"Yo, little bro. Where you rushing to?" I look up to see Wes, and when I look over to the kitchen, it's filled with his friends. I struggle for an answer, I don't want to tell him and all his friends that I have a date. Is it even a date?

"Uh... My room?" I reply quickly.

"What's the hurry? Come say hi to everyone." He motions to the crowd in the kitchen. I sigh in defeat and check my watch. It's 6pm, so I have about 45 minutes before I have to leave. That gives me time to make up an excuse.

"Hey guys." I wave to the boys surrounding the island in the kitchen. I join them and take note of who is here. Tyler, Brice, Connor and "Bubba" are all here. They all greet me, and we engulf ourselves in conversation about music and surfing.
