I'm just an ordinary girl without dreams.
I just want to draw or sulk all day.
Honestly, I wouldn't have written this poem
But I ought to do this no matter what.
So here's a poem about my dreams.
Honestly, I don't have any right now
Unless you count my nightmares each night
As well as my visions of the future.
I know you wouldn't believe me
But I'm telling the truth that I'm a seer.
My visions are usually accurate.
I can even tell you when there's going to be a surprize quiz!
What baffles me most of the time
Is that I always see a girl in my dreams.
She seems to be a bit older than me
But her twinkling eyes and warm smile are not easy to forget.
I always see her busy drawing things repeatedly
And I have to admit that she's good.
I've always thought that she's a perfectionist
Until she flipped the pages of her sketchpad.
I stared in awe as I saw her work.
Her drawings magically moved and danced around.
It was so beautiful that it made me cry yet felt so happy.
Alas, her work made me remember something I've forgotten.
Months ago before I was frustrated with myself
For not being as good as I've thought,
I had this dream to be an animator someday
And make films that'll touch and inspire other people.
I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock.
As I go by my daily morning routine,
I found myself staring at the mirror
Where the girl in my dreams stares back right at me.
