The sun set that evening with a beautiful show of colors. The cloudy skies turned orange and purple and pink. Stormie was particularly fond of the orange. She had a streak of hair that had been dyed orange. It was her favorite color. In the winter time sunsets weren't as bright as they were in autumn. It was slightly disappointing.

Stormie was thinking about the humans that had sat next to her and her friends at lunch. Thinking back on it, she remembered some things that were worth noting. Dustin was upset that humans were sitting next to them. Brooke was his usual quiet self, taking in every detail. Lila was kind of hesitant about talking to the humans but was being nice to them in any way she could. Stormie was more than welcome to chat with them; she thought that being kind was the easiest way to keep the humans happy. Stormie didn't exactly like calling them humans now that she'd gotten to know their names. Stormie went over their names in her head. Landon, Stewart, Jacob, and Bri. They sure were nice.

She couldn't help but wonder what they were up to at that moment.

It was cold outside. It was about thirty degrees Fahrenheit to be more specific, so Landon was wearing his coat and a pair of gloves. The sunset was always beautiful. He knew other people saw the the same thing at their house but he could never shake the feeling that he was the only one that really enjoyed it. His friends were probably laying bed, playing their phones at that time. Either that or they were out doing something stupid.

What Landon did at dusk wasn't the smartest thing either. On stressful nights or exhausting days he would open the window in his bedroom am climb out to sit on the roof outside it.✧ The slope of the roof wasn't steep and the shingles gave quite a bit of friction  so he would just sit there.

And that is exactly what Landon was doing, sitting on his roof, staring at the sky. He never went out on rainy or icey days because he obviously didn't have a death wish. After today, Landon thought, I really just needed some peaceful time to myself.

Thinking back, he had met quite a few new people. Holly, Tina, Brooke, Lila, Dustin, and Stormie. Stormie was really sweet. And funny. And cute. Landon smiled and felt his face becoming warmer. It was still cold outside so his face started becoming cold again pretty soon.

He decided that it wasn't the smartest idea to stay outside for very long in this weather, so he retreated back through the window.

Werewolves have three different forms: a human form, a werewolf form, and a wold form. A wolf form is exactly what it sounds like. All werewolves can turn into a natural looking wolf, just like how all werewolves can hide their ears and tail to look like a human. Both forms take a bit of practice to master but all werewolves learn how to shift between their three forms at a very young age.

Brooke walked through the forest a bit before shifting into his wolf form. He wanted to see exactly what Lila was up to.

He already had a pretty good idea of where she was. The thing was, he didn't exactly want to go there in the twilight hours. So, when got back to the streets of Okami, he shifted back to his werewolf form and took out his phone. He then sent Lila a text.

Brooke: Is there a reason why you said "family" in your group text?

Lila was making her way home through the forest when her phone chimed. A text message from Brooke.

She read it and sighed. Of course he noticed, she thought.

She texted back.

Lila: Yea

She giggled a bit. He asked a serious question and she responded with a shortened version of a short word. Immature of her to do but she was usually immature, so this was nothing new.

Within seconds, she got another message from Brooke.

Brooke: Did you tell them about the humans?

Lila knew that telling wouldn't change anything.

Lila: It's not like they can tell anyone

She wasn't joking. She eventually arrived at her house. As soon as she opened the door, she got another text message.

Brooke: Hold on. Are we talking about your foster family or your real family?

Lila smiled and texted him back.

Lila: You already no the answer to that question

Lila wasn't usually one to keep quiet. She often told everybody what she was thinking at a certain moment. She didn't usually like keeping secrets from her friends. Though this was true, there was a part of her that liked being mysterious. If that wasn't reason enough, Brooke thought he knew so much about everybody. The truth is, he did know a lot, but when it came to Lila, he had only scratched the surface.
