CHAPTER 10

AMETHYST

3 months later...

"Babe!" I yelled to Sin as I ran around his house like a chicken with its head cut off.

"Babeee!" I yelled again after I didn't get a response. After three months of being together, Sin and I always tried to have date night every Friday night despite our crazy working schedules. Between me being a teacher and Sin's booming construction business we barely saw one another. If I wasn't busy at work, I was busy at home with Junior taking up all of my time. I hadn't seen Sin in almost three days so I needed to see him badly. I used the key that was given to me to enter his spot.

I searched high and low for him all throughout his crib until I found him in bed with the covers all the way up to his neck. I noticed there were mounds of tissue scattered all around his bed. I sat down on the bed next to him and started placing small kisses on his neck.

"Babe." I whispered before poking him. He stirred in his sleep and opened his eyes a little.

"Hey handsome." I said to him after he fully opened his eyes.

"Oh damn––I'm sorry I didn't mean to fall asleep. What time is it?"

I looked over at the clock then back at him. "Five thirty-six...did you forget about our movie date? The movie starts in an hour babe. We can still ma––. " I was interrupted by Sin's uncontrollable coughing.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I don't feel good bae. I left work early today and as soon as I got home I took some meds and fell asleep."

"Awe my poor baby." I said pouting.

I placed my hand over his forehead and it did appear that he had a fever. "Can we reschedule?"

"Yeah of course, you need your rest. I think it's some Campbell's soup in the cabinet. I'll make you some soup." I sighed a bit looking down at my attire. I was fully dressed for the movie.

I had on a simple yet sexy royal blue skirt with a tube top to match. My stomach was exposed so I threw on a black cardigan with it and some black strap up knee high boots. I came over here looking good enough to eat but my baby needed a nurse so I was just going to have to suck it up to help him get better. Hell his eyes were barely open. I'll just wear this shit again. Nobody even saw me in it. I thought to myself.

I got up and headed over to the closet after kicking my shoes off. I removed my clothes until I was down to my bra and panties. I hung my clothes up and slipped into the robe that I'd left over here. I went into the bathroom and used my make-up remover to fully remove all the makeup from my face.

What a waste of a night.

After putting my hair into a high bun, I exited the bathroom and walked past the bed. Sin was still out like a night-light. I smiled because he looked so helpless like a big baby.

Once I got to the kitchen I searched all of the cabinets and eventually I ended up finding the soup that I was looking for. After getting the soup started, I was just about to sit down while the soup cooked but there was a light knock at the door.

The person knocked lightly again as I got closer to the door. I sighed loudly after looking through the peephole.

"What the fuck do you want?" I said after I yanked the door open damned near snatching it off the hinges.

The woman on the other side of the door rolled her eyes so I rolled my eyes back.

"Where is Sincere?"

I scoffed. "Maybe you didn't hear me. I said, what the fuck do you want?"

She chuckled, placing her hands on her hips. "Girl I'm not about to play with you."

"No one is playing with you...uh what's yo name again Fahrenheit right?" She had some never popping up over here after causing a scene in the restaurant we were dining at a couple of months back.

"It's Farah bitch...but you knew that." She had a lil attitude but I didn't care.

"Listen little girl I don't give a fuck what your name is but my man is sleeping and he's none of your business...not that he ever was anyways. Why the fuck are you popping up at his house anyways?"

"I came to talk to my man." I literally burst out laughing.

"Your man? Baby girl please have several seats. I don't know why you came here and embarrassed yourself like this. I'm shutting the door. Buh Bye!"

"Wait!" She said before I closed the door in her face.

"Girl what?" I questioned her.

"It ain't over, I will see you again!" I didn't know what she meant by those words but I wasn't moved or even the least bit of scared.

I slammed the door in her face. She needed to move the fuck on before I made her ass move the fuck on. I was itching to beat her ass.

I locked the door and went back in the kitchen. His soup was definitely done so I placed it in a bowl and grabbed a spoon.

Once I made my way back to his bedroom, I sat the soup on the dresser. I removed the covers from Sin for just a brief moment so that I could help him to sit up so he could eat. He was drenched in sweat so I removed his shirt and pants. I grabbed a fresh wife beater and a pair of basketball shorts from the drawer. I told him to stand up so I could dress him.

He did as he was told. I laid him back down and put the covers over him. "Here babe." I passed him the bowl of soup.

"Thanks."

I gave him a small smile. "No problem."

He tore that soup up like he was eating a steak. I could already see that he was beginning to look as if he felt a little better.

"Babe you never told me what really went down with you and Farah?" I decided to go ahead and ask him about this Fahrenheit bitch right now.

"Farah?" What about her? He looked confused.

"Well the bitch just stopped by when you were sleeping and I want to know why she felt the need to pop up at your crib. You still fucking her?" I questioned him. I just had to know.

"What? Hell no."

"Then what's going on Sincere?" I asked awaiting an answer.

He sighed and slid his hand down his face.

"She don't mean shit to me. I hit a couple of times but shorty fell in love and was trying to pressure me to be the step daddy to her baby. It wasn't even that kind of party so I left her ass high and dry but she won't leave a nigga alone."

"Okay well you need to check that bitch before I do you're my man. She doesn't need to ever pop up at my man's crib." I responded.

"Come here." He said grabbing my hand and pulling me closer. He pecked my lips a couple of times before speaking. "I got what I want. I ain't looking for anyone else." He countered.
