"Boo!"

"Jingle tits!"

Loud cackling and snorting sounds erupted from my best friends mouth, her face red as she held her stomach tightly. She fell to the floor dramatically and covered her face with her hands. By now, her laugh had turned into a fucking wheeze.

I turned around after my initial shock and gave her the most offended look I could muster.

She wheezed even harder and flipped over on her stomach.

"You bitch!" I yelled, blush dusting over my cheeks from embarrassment.

With one final laugh and a wipe to the eye, Lira got back up and flung her arms around me. I glared at her with a frown while she smiled innocently at me.

Yeah right bitch. Puppy dog eyes don't work on me.

I scowled, trying to push her off of me.

"Ah Y/N, I love how much of a scaredy cat you are. So cute." Lira giggled, letting go of my body and leaning against my desk. She stuck her hand in her pocket and pulled out a lolipop, quickly taking the paper off and shoving it into her mouth.

I raised an eyebrow at her and frowned.

"Why'd you do that?" I pouted, snatching the lollipop out of her mouth and holding it behind me. She graoned, grabbing yet another lolipop and repeating what she did earlier.

I raised an eyebrow.

"Who wouldn't?" She questioned with a, 'no duh,' look on her face.

"It's like you were begging me to scare you. You looked so desperate for something, anything else to do." Lira winked, pushing herself off of my desk and collapsing onto my king sized bed.

I turned around in my spinny chair right at Lira sighed.

"You're rich Y/N. You live in a huge pent house, have multiple cars, can go wherever you want, and you choose to stay in your room and apply for a job. Sweetie, you could do so much more than that." She said, patting the spot next to her and laying out her arm.

I smiled sheepishly and stood up.

"Yeah I know," I fell down onto her arm and stared up at the gold and black ceiling of my room. "But I really want to get a job. Being rich really isn't as good as people make it out to be."

Lira scoffed.

"Please, that's like saying pizza isn't really bad for you."

I rolled my eyes.

We stayed silent for a couple seconds, just staring into space and thinking about nonsense.

I've wanted to get a job for a long time because for one, I earn money for myself, and two, I'll actually have a purpose when waking up in the morning. Living alone in a pent house your movie star parents bought for you isn't what I would call ideal. If anything, it's probably the worst thing they've done for me.

I mean, living in a huge house by yourself. It's scary, boring, and super lonely. Who would want that?

Thankfully, my best friend since childhood, Lira, has come over whenever I felt lonely. She's the only friend that didn't only befriend me because of my money. Which I'm thankful for.

Although, it still gets boring. Thus why I'm getting a job no matter what.

Suddenly, out of no where, a loud bang made both Lira and I bolt right up, our muscles becoming tense. I looked at Lira with a confused expression as I got up and looked around my room. Lira stayed on my bed, her hands clutched to her chest in a tight hold.
