Ever since I was little I had always dreamed of finding true love. Then again I had also dreamed about being a princess, hey don't judge, to be fair I was only eight. Anyways, it was the middle of the same old freezing December winter down here in Georgia, when my WHOLE LIFE FELL APART.
Hmm... Let's see ...it was about 2 months ago.
I walked into the kitchen. It was September 11, 2014., so basically another long agonizing day of fall allergies mixed with the mind numbing pain of school.
"Hey Miranda don't forget to put on your jacket, it's cold outside"
That was my mom. She always liked to remind me about how my dad (whose divorced by the way) would never wear a jacket outside and how how one day his toe almost fell off, but it's fall not winter although in Georgia there's usually only two days of fall and then it skips straight to winter.
" Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" I said as I walked out the door.
I stepped outside as a soft rush of the fall breeze drifted over my body. Our house was over long hills, so I pretty much had to hike up to my bus stop every morning while carrying and band case, a 80 pound backpack, and whatever dumb school project they made us do. I contained to trudge through the fall leaves, until finally I made it to my bus stop.
You know I hate buses they make you stand outside in any kind of weather and wait for twenty minutes until they come, but finally it did.
I grabbed on to the rails and pulled myself up on to the bus and took a seat where I normally sit. I was usually the only one on the bus at that time, so while I waited for people to get on the bus I usually had free time to listen to some music.
I loved to listen to music like Iggy Azalea and Missy Eliot. They were my favorite rap artists. I had loved rap since I was again, eight, but I was actually good at it this time. I waited for my friend to get on the bus her name was Nicki. I met her in 6th grade and a year later in 7th grade we ended up being best friends she sat in the same seat as me same with my other friend Yvan although he sat two seats in front of me. Well, now that I have the buses seating chart memorized let me tell you more about the place I dread the most...okay first off the population of most of my school was black. Second of all I hated most of my teachers and... Well let's just say the felt the same way about me, and third of all I was the only white person so it was kind of uncomfortable sometimes .
"Hey, yo did you bring your MP3 player?" Nicki asked.
Nicki always asked to borrow that mostly because it had like over 5,000 songs or something (which I got illegally). I had always been raised in the type of neighborhood where if you walked two feet outside your house your purse was missing, three feet and your car got jacked, and four feet well most people don't live to know.
" Nah, sorry I forgot it again? " I said.
" Man, what's wid you always forgettin your stuff?" She said annoyed while continuing staring at her phone screen. She ignored me the rest of the bus ride.
I looked out the window as we pulled up to my school the Riverside Pythons. I grabbed my backpack and band case and got off the bus.
