Today was just like any other day. At least I thought it was. I came to the dorm being completely redecorated. It had such a Soft Girl vibe, which made sense since Naomi was most likely the one who redid the whole apartment while I was at a lecture in the auditorium. It lasted a while, about enough for her to almost be finished, seeing as there was a lot of decoration. The living room had white couches, and the rug was a very light pink color, and she had painted the walls the same color, which went along pretty well with the Birch Wood flooring that we had. The kitchen had curtains over the windows and there was a medium sized light wood table with the same kind of chairs. The counters had already been white, adding a light colored blender and microwave was just kind of a lot. There was a touch of color with some flower pieces and painting scattered across the apartment. I entered our shared bedroom to see that she had painted the walls with pastel colors and added a large book shelf on each side of the room to place all of our belongings on, so we had more room for queen sized beds with Paris and London bed sets. There was a large cream-colored koala on my bed and a few of the stuffed animals I had before, while her bed was stuffed with large and small plushies from shows she watched.
I looked at Naomi, who was working on a art piece based on an animal she was given by her art teacher. (The art teacher didn't give her an animal, but a specific breed of dog to draw as a person) She looked up at me expectantly.
"Do you like it?" She asked me.
"Yeah!" I said, placing my stuff next to my bed and looking the around. I noticed the wall had a bunch of Polaroid pictures, some of us, and others of places around Fall River, the city we lived in.
"I put a lot of work into it, so you better appreciate it!" She shouted
"I do, I really do!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah..." She mumbled, "How was your lecture?"
"It was boring, like almost all lectures are."
"Huh... That's true." She nodded.
"How's your project going?" I asked her, kicking off my shoes and sitting next to her.
"It's going pretty good, I just don't know how I should do the clothing"
"Well..." I took the pen made for the drawing tablet from her hand and sketched out some cute overalls and a T-shirt, "I think that since you're doing an Australian Sheep Dog, this clothing with different colored eyes, and maybe some bubbles on the overalls with long, straight hair would go perfect with the look, and she should be on her phone, maybe texting seeing as sheep dogs are bred to gather herds of sheep, so she should have a large friend group."
"Wow, that's a really good idea..." Naomi stared at the drawing as I place the pen beside the drawing tablet, "Thanks."
"Glad I could help." I say as I walk off with a towel, shorts, and loose T-shirt to take a shower and get ready for the night.
