Elizabeth POV

"Why are you starving yourself?" He asked. I didn't know what to say so I tried to cover it up with a lie.

"Uh I'm not I just had a big breakfast that I'm not hungry at school." I said nervously. Meliodas looks at me straight in the eye looking like his not convinced.

"Will that be all?" The cashier asked interrupting us which I'm glad she did.

"Yeah that's all" meliodas finally said.

"Okay then that will be 14.67" she said. He paid which I felt bad for but went with it anyways. She then left saying that our order will be out soon so we went to go sit down in a table.

To be honest it was kinda awkward. I didn't know what to say. I mean after what he did on my first day. I was looking at my fingers as I fidget them. I sat in silences for a good 10 minutes until I heard a cough grabbing my attention.

"Soo uh how's your wrist.?" I froze. I didn't know what To think.

"What do you mean "I asked trying to sound like I didn't know what he was talking about.

" I mean that it looked like you were struggling to write in class" He looked at me dead in the eye.

"Oh um well I had a lot of home work last night and hurt it" I lied again. Wow I'm a lying mess.

"Uh huh have you trying taking it to the nurses". What am I supposed to say to that. Man this guy is nosey.

"No. I don't wanna bother them with a silly injury" I gave him a small giggle.

"Can you at least let me check them?" He asked. That right there made me freeze. Why is he asking that. Not a week ago he was a jerk to me. And now he wants to made sure I'm alright. Good grief.

But here's the thing I would let him see them but. I can't he'll know that father did that. And I'll never hear the end of it from him.

"I'm sorry I can't do that" I said with my head down catching his attention.

Meliodas POV
I was genuinely curious on to what she's hiding. Because I wanna help her but I need her to trust me which is far from her thought of me.

"And why not" I asked lean closer so I catch what she says. "If you don't want the nurses to waste their time on a 'silly injury' then at least let me take a look at it" I smirked but deep inside I was boiling because she wouldn't tell me.

She looked up, tilting her head and furrowing her eyebrows. "Why do you want to know so bad?" The face she was making at me concern me more than the response she gave me. I was going to say something but she beat me to it.

"Because as far as I know you didn't like me. You dump water on me and my notes. You embarrassed me on my first day here. Your the reason those girls keep sending me horrible texts in the middle of the night calling me fat and insulting me. What happened huh? What made you change you mind!"she was mad. Dam who knew this girl had spunk. But in all i felt guilty for everything. I was a tear rolled down her cheek.

We just stared at each other. I didn't know what to say. But soon enough Aurthur came over.

"Hey everything good here" he said to me ignoring Elizabeth cry on the other side of the table.

"Yeah everything is fine." I said not taking my eyes off of her.

"Doesn't seem like it. Everyone in the cafeteria is starring at you guys" he chuckled. "No just a argument over a stupid thing" I growled. Holy mother of my mom. What did I just say.

And with that more tear flowed out of her eyes. She stood up and left running to where I assume the class room.

Authur chuckled and sat in her place. Then a lady came to our table with our meals and left. I saw the burger that I bought of Elizabeth get taken buy Aurthur.

"That was meant for Elizabeth you know" I said casually as I took mine. He bursted out of laugher which made my blood boil.

"Haha aww man she's fat enough don't ya think. A burger like this would make it more obvious." He said I wanted to tear him apart. But this only reminded me why his still alive.

"Oh by the way you wanna go to the park later with me and the sins?"I asked which only made him grin.

"Sure why not I got nothing else to do" he said. Man this guy is dense. Doesn't even see what's coming for him.
