Chapter 56

"Do you think they finally got along?" Tooth asked

"Hopefully I haven't heard them shouting at each other for at least an hour now" North answered as he went to your old room while tooth picked up Eva who was fast asleep on the couch and followed North as he opened up the door exposing you and Jack fast asleep leaning on each other in the corner of the room

"Aww they've asleep" tooth whispered when she flew up to you and Jack and gently layed Eva into Jack's arms

"Now this is an adorable family" North said admiring his work

"Hope they can stay like this for awhile" tooth said when North nodded in agreement as they both left leaving you three to sleep

-2 hours later-

Jack woke up due to Eva crying

"Eva!" Jack shouted hugging her when she calmed down and started sniffling

"Hmm? What's wrong with her?" You mumbled waking up

"You're alright" Jack shushed her as she gripped his hoodie with her small hands

"Quit trying to win her" you spoke up with a laugh

"Please don't start.." Jack said looking at you

"No one is starting anything, don't forget our deal" you said when he silently looked away from you and back at Eva

"Mmmm" Eva cooed as she closed her eyes while her chin was on Jack's shoulder and her arms up onto his hoodie

"She looks adorable" you whispered moving next to him

"I made her that way" Jack laughed when you glared at him

"Hey, she may look like you but without me she wouldn't be existing" you replied

"I know and i'm grateful for that" he said kissing Eva's cheeks

"You really love her don't you?" You asked

"Of course, i've been so worried about her since I left" he spoke closing his eyes while holding her

"Even though you never met her?" You asked

"Even though I never met her, she's still my child" Jack said softly

"Such a charmer" you said rolling your eyes as you got up and went to the door

"Where are you going?" Jack asked

"Into the Centre, i'm going back to my place WITH EVA" you said quoting the last part

"I thought you lived here" Jack said

"I did but since Eva came into my life I figured it's time to restart" you said when Jack looked back at Eva and then back at you

"I don't want to leave her already" Jack whined

"C'mon don't forget our deal, you're still allowed to see her" you said crossing your arms

"But.. I just met her today.." Jack said hugging Eva even tighter

"Don't hurt her!" You shouted

"I'm not!" Jack said turning his back towards you burying his face into Eva's fluffy brown hair

"You gotta be kidding me" you mumbled when you facepalmed

"No i'm not!" Jack muffled

"Okay c'mon give me her" you said holding out your arms

"But y/nnnnn!" Jack whined

"Don't y/n me, give me her now" you said when he looked at you with puppy eyes

"Can she stay a bit longer please?" Jack whined when you sighed

"Jack, I seriously don't want to stay here right now" you said

"Then you can leave and i'll watch over her" Jack said focusing on Eva again

"WHAT?! ARE YOU KIDDING?!" You shouted

"No" he said

"Seriously Jack I don't want to argue with you again" you muttered pinching the bridge of your nose

"It's my daughter too" he said when Eva started laughing

"You know what? Fine you can have her for today but if she starts crying for me then bring her back, until then, i'll pick her up tomorrow" you sighed when he looked at you

"Really?!" Jack said jumping up

"Yes really" you said when he immediately hugged you with one arm while Eva was in the other

"You're Your the best!" He said when you broke the hug

"Yeah, yeah, whatever" you said when you kissed Eva's hair

"I'll see you tomorrow" you whispered to Eva as she looked at you silently when you left to go back to your place

After a couple of hours being alone you realized that you really needed the peace and quiet for once and headed off to sleep to catch up on three months of rest
