i sighed and looked in the mirror as i got ready for work. we're physically blocking scenes today. i put on some lipgloss and headed out the door.
i pulled up to set and checked my phone, 7;09. i still had almost an hour until i had to head inside. i was on my phone when i saw people out of the corner of my eye. i looked up and saw josh talking to olivia. i didn't know what they were saying but he hugged her and gave her a kiss on the forehead. i felt a pang in my chest. josh caught my eye and i quickly looked away. please don't come over here, please don't come over here is all i could think. i haven't talked to him in a couple days. then i heard a knock on my passenger seat window and looked up to josh. i sighed and unlocked the door. he hopped in and just looked at me as i looked down. "cianna" he said just above a whisper. i didn't move. "cianna" he said again only louder this time. "please talk to me."

"did i do something? is that why you're not talking to me?" i asked. she finally looked at me. "no, you didn't do anything." she said, her voice raspy. "then, what's wrong?" i said. she shook her head. "cianna" i said putting my hand on her thigh. i felt her tense and then relax. "it's just, i guess i'm so used to people saying things about me that when you" she paused "when you said i was beautiful, i didn't believe you." she finished. "because you are." she looked down. i lifted her head with my finger. "you're beautiful, cianna" i said, glancing at her glossy lips. we just sat there, looking at each other. i started leaning in. i got close enough that i could feel her breath my lips. then we heard a bang on the window that made us jump apart. "come on guys we're gonna be late!" frankie yelled from the other side of the window. cianna looked at me before getting out of the car. i sat back in the seat. i was so close.

we just finished work and i was walking to my car. when i heard footsteps coming towards me. i turn around and see joshua. "cianna?" he said. "um how do i say this." he said all jittery. "say what?" i asked. he just looked at me, deep in thought. before i could ask anything he leaned in. i felt his pillow soft lips connect with mine, sending sparks throughout my body. he put his hands on my hips and i rested mine on the back of his neck. he tasted like cherry chapstick usually i pull away, i hadn't even known him that long. only about three weeks. but something just felt...right. this is something out of a romance novel i swear. we pulled away after a while and stared into each other's eyes. i blushed and looked away (something that happens on the daily now). josh just lifted my head and planted another kiss on my lips. butterflies erupted in my stomach. "i-is that what you wanted to say?" i stuttered. he smiled, "don't actions speak louder than words?" he said as he tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "shut up" i said, shoving his shoulder. he laughed and leaned in again.
