Alondra

Jack and I have been texting all day long about the most random things. The funny thing is that it never gets boring.

I am currently listening to Jack&Jack and reading facts about them like when they started off, when they started getting big, and one specific thing caught my eye. It was a picture of Jack holding some girls hand. She was really pretty. Flawless even. I read more into it and her name came to be Madison Beer. What a lucky girl. I just can't seem to find why Jack is here talking to me if he has someone like her.

A text message notification woke me from my daze. It was a text from Mr. Garza saying we have a mandatory meeting. I get up from my chair and jog upstairs to let my brothers know where i'm going. I grab the keys to Gio's mercedes and start heading towards the small pizzeria.

When i pull in i see a huge truck taking tables and chairs out of the restaurant. I quickly get out of the car and run inside to be met with a teary eyed Mr. Garza and his very sad wife.

"I called you all here to let you know that we will be closing down the restaurant. I apologize for not saying anything sooner but I have recently been diagnosed with bone cancer and my daughter wants us to move closer to her and my grandkids. You are all the best employees a man could ever dream of having. Your last paychecks are in the safe." He stands and gives each of us a hug. When he reaches me I bury my head into his neck and begin to cry. They have always been so good to my family and I, and the only reason i worked here was to be around them all the time.

"Mija you will do great things in life. The boy with the sharp face came in looking for you yesterday. Give him a chance i can tell he's nothing like the last one. I will always be a phone call away and i want you to visit me as much as you can." He says kissing my forehead. After a while and a few more years i collect my check and hug them tight one last time.

I get in the car wiping a few more tears when i receive a text from Jack asking me to meet him at a small park nearby. When i finally reach the park i see Jack sitting on a swing with his head down and his hands in his pockets.

"Hi!" I say cheerfully making him jerk up and quickly replacing his frightened look with a smile. He gets up and embraces me in a tight warm hug. "How have you been?" he smiles at me "I've been good and you stranger?" I look up at him meeting his brown eyes. "I've been decent i guess. Why are your eyes red and puffy?" I begin to tell him about the day i've had and he nods his head understandingly and embraces me in one more hug. We pass the time just talking about his career and how much he enjoys making music. I thought back to the picture of him and madison and decided to bring it up. "So i was doing some snooping and came across a picture of you and Madison Beer" i say and show him the picture. I watched as his face turns to a slight frown as he stares at the picture. "Yeah she's my ex...uh things ended pretty bad between us" I nod my head understanding. "I know how that feels trust me" I pat his back and give him a slight smile.

The cold November air sent a shiver through my body and Jack slightly chuckled. "Maybe it's time for us to head out huh" he says while standing. I nod my head in agreement and extend my hand for him to help me up, once we does we start walking to my truck. "Sweet ride you've got there by the way, the black chevy i first seen you in we'll see when you let me take it for a spin" he smiles as he opens the door for me, i blush at his kind gesture. "I'll let you when you let me take your jeep" i raise an eyebrows as i put the key in "Anyday you want sweetheart just let me know". We finally say our goodbyes and i start to head home.
