The rain was pouring, giving its surroundings a glossy look.
We decided to share the umbrella. Fortunately, the umbrella was big enough for two persons.
"I'm surprised that you would accompany me. That's so nice" he said, looking at me with a smile. I could tell that he was over the moon.
I grinned "I have nothing important today. Why not show you around? Anyway, where do you wanna go?"
He tilted his head and looked at me with a big smile "To a place where you find interesting!"
"Let me see... Hmm... ah! Got one~"
-
"Wow. This is a place with history" he said, looking up at the ancient stairs.
I took him to a nearby town that has a pile of stairs which connects to the top of the mountain. On either sides of the stairs, there were beautiful flowers decorating the stairs with its beauty. The houses too, in this town, looked ancient, giving it a historical vibe.
Ah, I love this place.
"Yes, all of these are old houses. People here lead a slow-paced life." I said, smiling broadly. "It's raining. I suddenly want to go to the top of the mountain."
He looked up and smiled "I'm looking forward to it."
-
To my bad luck, the place was covered with thick fog. I sighed. My life always has something against me.
I leaned over the railings and told him sadly "Ah... there is a heavy fog. Nothing can be seen. I thought I could see something different."
"Never mind. It's quiet often that the actual scenery differed from the online pictures in my travels." He tried encouraging me up "So don't get your hopes up."
But my sorry ass was only discouraged "We're out of luck" I sneezed loudly "And I didn't know it would be so cold in the mountains!" I said, wrapping my hands around my body.
He looked at me with concern "You wanna put on my clothes?"
"Huh? But you're only wearing a T-shirt. Then won't you be..."
"I have a shirt in my bag"
What was I thinking?!
"Thank you." I wrapped myself in his shirt, inhaling his scent. Damn. It was so good. Too good to be true. His shirt was warm too, just like his heart.
"It's cold here indeed. Let's go down now, or you may catch a cold." He said.
"Okay. We can backtrack or take the bus. Which one do you lik- AH!"
My foot slipped and before I was going to face-plant on the ground, a pair of strong hands stopped me. "Are you alright?" He looked at me worriedly.
Our faces were just inches apart. I got flustered due to the sudden closeness "Huh? Ah... yeah. I- I'm okay." I chuckled nervously "It was just a um... a slip. Yes, a slip."
When he realised that he was still holding my hand, he let go of it and scratched his nape shyly "There is moss on the stones. Be careful."
I looked behind him and saw a blissful sight. The fog was lifted. The city looked so beautiful from the top of the mountain. It looked like a miniature world, and it was so surprising that I was a part of this world. I pulled him beside me so that he could enjoy this beautiful moment.
I was lucky indeed.
In the end, we decided to board a bus.
"Oh, I don't even know your name..!" He looked at me with astonishment and then smiled "My name is Jeon Jungkook. What is yours?"
