Chapter 4 : reunited

Talia and I walked farther into the woods. She seemed happier that she didn't have to stay in my jacket. We were nearing wherever she took me because she slowed down and landed in a bunch of branches above my head.

"Here we are!" Talia announced. "We are at your castle."

I looked up and saw the gray stone of the castle hiding in the mist. I walked toward it as if I was hypnotized to do so. I was about to take another step when Talia whirred around me, creating a cylinder of sparkling glitter and I was no longer walking. I was being pulled in a horse drawn carriage and in a red gown with white lace finished with a gold tiara on my head.

Before I could thank Talia, some guy in a suit was helping me out of the carriage when I noticed I was wearing heels. The guy smiled at me and told me he was Marvin. Marvin was an older guy who had strangely similar eyes as me: brown and beautiful; always sparkling.

"Elizabeth, your mother would like to speak to you." Marvin said. "She is in the throne room."

The throne room was huge. It had tile flooring with red carpet and tapestries of mythical creatures. I was wondering where Talia went when I saw her in the mirror on my head where my crown used to be. She fixed my now curled hair then when towards the floor where she turned into a bracelet on my hand.

"Lindsey!" It was Donna (or my mother). "You're here!"

"Yes, uh... Do- what should I call you knowing that you're my mother? I know I'm Elizabeth!" I inquired her.

"Mom then." She replied, with a side smile, motioning me from the doorway and on the platform as her voice got serious. "This is serious. I need your help! Here, you'll need this to defeat Thorn."

She thrust her hand toward my chest, not touching me with the result of pain in my head, legs, back and ears.

"What did you do to me?!?" I yelled in agony.

"You'll see your powers soon." She whispered the second before I blacked out.
