I was sweating when my eyes reopened. I was in a bed dressed in a white lace nightgown. My mother was there when I looked to get up.
"Elizabeth." She began. "You can have no physical obstacle in your way now to save our kingdom from evil!"
I looked at her with confusion. She told me that the air, water, rock, and nature will be the obstacle my powers will help defeat Seth. I was still puzzled, so she pulled me out of bed and dragged me along behind her and into the woods with me still barefoot. The dirt stuck to my feet easily due to previous rain.
"My goodness! You're wet!" My mother shouted, then to my surprise grew bird wings and carried me up in the air with her.
We flew above the tallest trees. From what I saw we were going toward a creek. My mother landed perfectly in front of its rushing clear waters when her wings disappeared and she set me down. She stood in front of me and her brown eyes looked serious.
"You have a tail when you are wet." She cautioned me, throwing me into the ice cold water. "See? And wings when you just think and jump!"
I looked down in the clear water and I gasped. I had a blue tail with blond hair. I swam better than I ever had. I pulled my aqua-turquoise tail from the water and heard a WHOMP; I was a human with curly brown hair again. I yelled playfully to my mother that I may beat her to Tod Mountain.
My wings were black like a crow's, identical to my mother's wings.
"Here is where the fairies live." My mother explained when I was the only one see Talia fly toward a rock house. "We can turn into fairies!" My mother smiled and turned into a fairy that I had to kneel to look at her in the eyes.
So, I shrugged and turned as tiny as Talia who smiled at us and came toward me. When Talia spoke to me she didn't sound as small as she usually did. I didn't scare away a fawn for the first time. I screamed when the fawn literally said hello and the two ladies laughed at me.
"Not funny!" I snapped, seeing them holding back their laughter then exploding again. "So what about this evil guy you wanted me to defeat?"
"Well, he likes to take us in as prizes after slaughtering poor animals in cages!" Talia whined.
"And Seth wants to use all the magic here for himself in evil ways!" My mom added.
"He rides on a black horse in an all black horse drawn carriage and he wears red to stand out."
"I hear his around in these woods." Talia whispered just as we heard laughter and bigger footsteps behind us.
