Talia's view
I stopped brushing my blond hair as Elizabeth dragged her feet through the doorway. Elizabeth seemed crushed. She kept mumbling about a dead woman. Now she was trembling! I flew over to her in an instant.
"This is all my fault! I should have watched her!" Her tears were nonstop.
"WHAT happened? Where is your mo -" before I could finish she cried even deeper. Then I knew the queen died. Her trembling hands opened to a necklace entirely of silver with only beads on it.
"She is... gone. She... gave me... these." Elizabeth managed. She explained the beads.
"Oh." I thought to cheer her up as I landed on the bed. "Well we won the war! Where is Seth?"
Elizabeth's | Lindsey's view
Talia wouldn't stop questioning me. I told her Seth was dead and his castle and land is ours. I stood up and put the glowing bead necklace in a blue box lined with green silk.
I turned to face Talia. I talked to her knowing I was the heir to the throne. I would be soon.
