Leslie took a deep breath as she stood outside her parents’ house, she chewed on her lip and she already knew that Morgan wasn’t going to be there; she’d be too busy with her boyfriend to come to a family meal.

Leslie knocked on the door, she waited for her someone to open the door as she thought about the last couple of months; time had flown by and it had been nearly three months since Morgan had started to date Sergio.

Leslie was a little surprised that Sergio had yet to release that he was being used, she felt bad for him and she hoped that he would found out before it was too late.

Janice opened the door and frowned at her eldest daughter, Morgan had called to say that she couldn’t make it because Sergio was taking her to some fancy restaurant.

“Hola madre,” Leslie said with a weak smile, she rolled her eyes when Janice didn’t return her greeting but allowed her to step into the house.

Leslie watched as her mother hurried back to the kitchen, she sighed and shook her head heading for the living room; her mother might not be pleased to see her but her father would be.

“Hola padre,” Leslie greeted moving to hug her father, she was happy to see him since she had been busy with work; she brushed some hair from her face as she sat down next to him.

Lloyd smiled, he was glad that at least one of his daughter’s had come to see him; he was angry that Morgan couldn’t be bothered to come to the family dinner.

Lloyd and Janice held the dinner’s every couple of months so that they could all sit down as a family, however now that she had a rich boyfriend Morgan didn’t seem to care about family time.

“How has work been?” Lloyd asked, he was just glad that at least one of his children had their heads screwed on right; he didn’t know what he would do if Leslie was anything like Morgan.

“Morgan’s inviting you to her house party next week,” Janice said looking at Leslie, she was pleased that her youngest was living her dream and she was sure that everything would work out just fine.

Lloyd rolled his eyes, he was glad that he wasn’t going since he didn’t want anything to do with the sham; he could only see this ending badly and he was only staying quiet to keep the peace between the family.

“I don’t have to remind you that you have to behave,” Janice said sternly, she could already imagine Leslie making a complete fool of herself; she wanted things to get well for Morgan and she knew that it was only going to be a matter of time before her daughter shared her wealth.

Leslie stopped eating her pasta and looked at her mother, she stared at her for a moment and scoffed feeling like a little girl again.

“Of course and I’ll be sure to tell him what a gold-digger my little sister is,” Leslie said sarcastically, she didn’t know why her mother thought that she was such an idiot; she was twenty-six years old and had been living on her own for years now.

Lloyd chuckled knowing that Leslie was right, Sergio would probably run for the hills when he learnt that Morgan wasn’t in love with him; she was using him for his fame and money.

“Don’t you dare ruin this for your sister,” Janice barked, she couldn’t stand the idea of Leslie ruining things for Morgan; she had worked hard to get where she was right now. M

organ was happily living her dream and Leslie was just jealous that the footballer had chosen her; it made sense that he would want someone as beautiful as Morgan.

“He has a right to know… Morgan only cares about herself,” Leslie said setting down her cutlery, she didn’t like the fact that her mother was okay with what was going on; she was shocked that Janice could condone Morgan’s behaviour.

Lloyd sat quietly, he’d had this argument plenty of times with his wife but she wouldn’t hear it; Morgan was famous now and it would open doors for all of the family.

“Leslie Emily Wright… you will keep your mouth shut or so help me, I brought you into this world and I will take you out of it,” Janice threatened, she wouldn’t have anyone hurting her baby girl and she was sure that Sergio wouldn’t care about any of this.

Morgan was the perfect girlfriend for him and she was so happy right now; she was living the dream and she didn’t need her family bringing her down.

Leslie stared at her mother in disbelief, of course it always came down to this and she wasn’t even sure why she was so surprised that yet again Janice was supporting Morgan’s decisions.

“I’m suddenly not hungery… thanks for dinner,” Leslie said pushing her chair out and leaving the room, she couldn’t stick around when she knew that her mother would never see the truth about Morgan and that hurt more than anything.

“Baby you’re home,” Morgan gushed moving to greet Sergio as he came home from training, she was thrilled that he was back and she couldn’t wait to go to dinner; she didn’t want anything to get in the way of them being seen.

Sergio smiled and kissed her, he couldn’t wait until next week and he knew that Morgan would love the surprise that he had for her.

In the past three months everything had changed for the couple and Sergio couldn’t believe that he had finally found his soul-mate; he had introduced his girlfriend to his family and things had gone so well.

“Babe… I was thinking and I would like to invite my sister to that party next week,” Morgan said smiling, she knew that he was getting a little suspicious about not seeing her sister; Sergio wrongly assumed that the two were close since they lived together.

Sergio smiled at the news that he would be seeing Leslie again, he was surprised that he hadn’t seen her since he had started dating Morgan but his girlfriend had reassured him that Leslie was just busy with work and such.

“That would be great… it’s been a while since you see her,” Sergio said smiling at his girlfriend, he didn’t want her cutting her family out of his life for him; he wanted Morgan to be happy.

Morgan nodded her head, she had purposely cut her sister out of her life since she feared that Leslie would ruin things from her; she was only inviting her now because Sergio was getting suspicious and her mother had told her too.

“So dinner?” Morgan said smiling, she couldn’t wait to go out since she didn’t want anyone losing interest in what she was doing; she had spent the morning shopping with Sergio’s bank card.

Sergio nodded his head, he kissed Morgan again hoping that everything would stay this perfect; he had never been this happy before and he finally had someone in his life that made him feel complete.

“I’ll go and finish getting ready,” Morgan said before she kissed Sergio’s cheek, she walked away sure that she had him wrapped around her finger.

Leslie wasn’t the only person that Morgan had cut out of her life, she had stopped speaking to her former friends since she didn’t want them thinking that they could steal her man.

Morgan had everything that she wanted and she was determined to keep it, she just had to make sure that Sergio stayed in line; she wanted to be a WAG for as long as she could.
